It’s not really a defence of him, but more players in general. We never give players time before we decide they are shit. If they don’t have a brilliant debut, we all turn on them. Just something I’ve thought for a while

If ever there was a player that could be compared to the saying “As much use as tits on a fish” it’s Rothwell. Up there with Kalvin Phillips in the waste of money/piscine mammaries league. At least we only got Phillips on loan.

Tbf we can only judge on what we've seen. He may well come good next season when he's fully fit but based on evidence provided so far he's been nothing short of a disaster and done nothing to convince me he should be getting game time over either Soumare or Arblaster.
