If that tweet is correct and it is indeed permanent, I’m guessing with the number of MF‘ers we have, it could mean the likes of Hamer, Davies and Matos (soumare returns to parent club) are all outward bound, leaving Peck, Blaster, Jairo, Rothwell for next season. If so we’ll need at least one more perhaps on loan(s) ?

Appreciate injuries but it’s simply not an area of the pitch I would be looking to reinforce.

Far higher priority should have been given to GK CB and up top more than CM.

Also a cover LB now with the unfortunate injury to Sam Mc.

He cant get up and down the pitch in the middle. He played CM and we were ridiculously exposed in the middle everytime he did.

To the point where many on here stopped championing for him to play in the middle (me included). He's played there is a 3 & a 2 but the best we've seen him is on the left

Wilder likes his options. I'd suggest that it'll be as follows:

DM/left side
1) Riedewald - who's got a hamstring injury, which have a habit of recurring if not treated properly and our record with injuries is, frankly, awful
2) Phillips - who's played once since May
3) Soumaré - who's very raw

CM/right side
1) Peck - minor injury issue aside, he's the most reliable of our options
2) Rothwell
3) Arblaster - removes the pressure from him as he returns. He's been overplayed the last 6 weeks.
4) Davies - super player who sadly just cannot be relied on to stay fit. James Wallace mk2.

The main four would be Riedewald/Phillips/Peck/Rothwell with Arblaster and Soumaré providing depth. Saturday proved that Davies is done as a reliable footballer.
