I thought he was easily the best player on the pitch tonight. Made several vital interventions and covered for the rest of the defence on many occasions.

I was commenting right before their goal on how outstanding he was tonight. The goal didn’t change that opinion, I just forgot about the positive aspects of our performance after the goal.

Aside from the disappointment and focusing on a highlight....he really did look a quality player tonight. Reading the game, making vital interceptions and challenges. Future captain.
