Jordan Slew made about 2 sub appearamces in the premier league.

We can surely agree that it's too early to judge DCL as a premier league player?

Yes, but early signs are really promising. Everton have a really good record at recruiting and giving youngsters a chance. I've been told that DCL wouldn't get within a mile of their first team and was nowhere near good enough for United on this very board.

DCL is far more grounded focused player than Slew ever was
a lot of players never make it as the mentality is bad
DCL has every chance as he knuckles down and grafts
Slew was his own worst enemy
same with diego , head had it all wrong , feet were great , but you need both
took CW about 10 minutes to see it

I honestly don't think he'd have been an asset to us this season.

I’d say he’s about on par with a 19 year old Harry Maguire. Big, strong, defensively solid and reasonably able to play out from the back. By the time Maguire left, he had added more to his game with the way he could carry the ball out from the back taking 3 players on at a time to get us on the attack. JOC doesn’t have that to the same extent but is coming along nicely.

From what little I 've seen of Harry since he left he's only half the player he was, and twice as good for it.
Lead boots must have lost 4 stone and looks a hell of a lot better for it......

Slew failed. Mellis didn't make PL but has never played below our level.

That's every youth product we've sold for a seven figure fee, I think. I am unconvinced that we've been making the right decision in the vast majority of cases. At best, you can say we've been selling too cheaply.
