O'Neill, Pulis, Clough, all been mentioned. So have others like Hoddle. I have even read the names of Ron Atkinson and Kevin Keegan being bandied about. Most of those that are jobless probably won't lower themselves to managing a club at the arse-end of division three.

So who is out of work now and a realistic candidate for the job? I've got a sneaky suspicion that Nigel Clough will be one of those interviewed.

I love to see Keegan at the lane.

At least we would all be in for a hell of a ride!!

Out of those i think Clough is the only realistic prospect. Hoddle would also be nice. But i think hes now too heavily involved with England.

We need someone who knows how to manage players at this level. I would be worried about any type of Keegan or Di Matteo type appointment.

I want people who know how to get 100% out of players in this division (and yes Pinch we can still play football)

Keegan would not come to blades sadly.

Keegan took Fulham all the way through the divisions!!

I can't believe some of the names being 'put into the hat'! We may have a few quid to spend (apparently, though I'm still a sceptic!) but we are 3rd from the bottom of the 3rd tier! As much as I would love an O'Neill or Keegan we have to be realistic - we are crap!

I seem to recall Di Matteo doing quite well at MK Dons in League One. Lost a penalty shoot-out in the Play-Off semi finals on a shoestring budget. Oh, and he's won the Champions League as well.

clough is just working off his dad success but he shouldn't have been sacked and but he has never managed in league 1

I like Hoddle but this is completely the wrong time for someone like him to take over. Trouble is that for every manager that is realistic, you can always equal the positives with a negative, that's why they are realistic for us.
Take Gary Johnson for example, Paul Walker on RS last night was practically wanking over the thought of him becoming boss but when you look at his record - Yeovil apart - it's not that great. And he looks like a fat jockey.

I fully expect Clough to be given the job. Cheap, out of work, seemingly a big name (he is not). His record is far from good, in fact is hovering just below average on the face of it. He is also as dull as ditchwater and hardly see him inspiring our bunch of wage pinching floggers who need a rocket up their arses.

several of those frighten the shit out of me
I agree that Gary Johnson suits Yeovil , but wouldnt ring any of my bells here, in the same way Holloway didnt suit at Leicester

Clough or Slade, with a possible nod to McCall or Parkinson. The others I've crossed out because either they wouldn't want it, or we don't want them.

Clough seems nailed on to me - out of work and therefore no compo to pay, and he's a "name", albeit not a particularly inspiring one. Slade is doing fairly well considering he's yet to pay a fee to sign a player, mcCall might be tempted now we've got some money, and Parkinson seems a decent outside bet. The others either won't lower themselves, or we don't want for various reasons - Morgan for example has no experience, and look where that's got us, and Sven is just a money-grabbing lothario.

I think theres a couple of managers who now they know we have a bit of financial clout will see us in a very different light and are aware of our potential, might get more than we expect

I think theres a couple of greedy chancers who now they know we have a bit of Saudi moolah will see us as a big fat cash cow and are aware of our sacking managers but having to pay off their fat contracts, might get fucked over by some grasping twat.

There you go. Drop Sven into that category for starters. He likes a fat contract as much as he likes a saucy milf.
