For me teams are entitled to low ball so that's a none issue. Tappng up happens everywhere so I couldn't give a shit either. It's basically ungovernable so I have zero expectations that it will ever be stopped. Clubs ask players and their agents if they're interested in a move and what their salary demands are before they bid. If they offer below the valuation, or the current club rejects the offer they don't get the player. If I was Wilder I wouldn't get involved in that.
Yeh , that's what I meant , it happens all the time (Michael Cooper) so no point Wilder moaning about it

Tbf it was all the 2nd interviewer was interested about. Didn't ask any questions about the actual game, just ins and outs of transfer business.

No idea who he was but he wasted 15 minutes of everyone's time.

About to say. Isn’t that what everyone below and even a few in the PL crave. Kind of depressing when you think about it.

Not really when they've had Eze, Olise, Zaha, Mateda, Eduourd etc. to watch on a weekly basis over the years!

We remember the joy that N'Dyiaye brought us of course, sort of similar

disappointed by him tonight. a couple of bright runs in the first half like the one to set up Brewster but mostly looked disinterested off the ball and sloppy on it. seems to be of the modern school of wingers that do a few step overs and then play the safe 5 yard pass to the full back rather than take their man on. shame, this should have been an opportunity to stake his claim for a start.

A pathetic start to his Blades career.

The only way is up for him. Early days but I hope we haven't signed a reyt lemon.

Agreed but very early days, those calling for him to go straight into the team are idiots

Thought he had a fantastic game yesterday, big part to play in the 1st goal in and looked like a great attacking threat. Big quick unit as well which always puts players on the back foot

I wouldn't say he was fantastic....I'd say "very promising".

Negatives first
Out of possession he seems quite poor, doesn't seem to like doing the dirty work, in this respect far worse than Brookes.
He's more of an individualist, hasn't formed any understanding with his team mates yet.

Positives
He stands out as being very talented....his first touch, close control and desire to shoot reminds me of N'Diaye.
You could see the Watford defence panicking every time Rak Sakyi got the ball......they had to put 2 defenders on him because 1 wasn't enough.

Overall.....didn't do a right lot and was rightly subbed off
but what little he did do looked higher quality than what you normally see at Championship level.

I suppose it's fair to compare him to James McAtee.....remember how poor and lightweight he was in the early months then after Xmas he went on to be one of our best players. Well JRS already seems well ahead of McAtee in his development and possibly more talented too.

As it stands it's heading towards starting Brooks in away games and bringing on JRS as sub
but in home games (especially against easier teams) it's possible we might be starting Rak Sakyi ahead of the impressive Brooks.

He’s quite raw. I think our own academy lads work better with the system we play as they seem to play the same style coming through as the first team. JRS is a little bit more maverick and perhaps has been able to develop with more freedom - like Ndiaye as you say.

Brooks knows the system so is perhaps more reliable and safe, JRS is going to give the side more work to do. A mate said he’s lazy, I think he’s just learning our system

Watford put two men on him as one of their defenders was laroucci

Yeah thats fair enough, I guess being on loan to a new club will take time to develop but there is some talent in there and certainly a player to get bums off seats. In a way its good to have that for Brookes as takes some pressure of him in terms of what he is expected to do and hopefully will allow him to progress into the grafter type that we do need bombing forwards and getting back

Agree....they both have different strengths and weaknesses and hopefully both will learn off each other.
They are similar aged and apparently already good friends....so the competition is healthy.

My issue is Brooks is he's always looking to pass.....and on the odd occasion he does shoot he tends to scuff his shot.
Probably explains why doesn't try shooting enough where as JRS is always looking to shoot and has a powerful shot.

Of course Brooks is more versatile and more of a team player, he's also decent at tackling too, good defensively and works hard for the team.

I'm told this is a nothing story. Basically, some fans want him to come back. A bit like making a story that one of our loanees is "wanted back in South Yorkshire in the JTL" based on comments on this forum.

They were all over Twitter after he was benched for his first couple of games moaning that we weren’t giving him game time.

Just fan bollocks.

He clearly wasn’t fit enough at the time and has yet to get close to completing a 90.

I’ve Said Give This Lad A Ran And He Will get 15-20 goals

People were judging way too quickly ala Mcatee.

Going to only get better and better IMHO.

I've seen 2 sets of fans (Watford and Portsmouth) say not just best player for us, but best player they've come up against out of any team they've played... and he's only just scratched the surface so far.

I think he’s good, and I’ll be the first to admit I was wrong about him the first couple of games. He’s a great player.

How Brooks and him are balanced will be interesting, but I’d like seeing them together. Not sure if Wilder sees it the same way.

They Both Have Too Play Right now

Thought he looked a lot better than Andre last night. He has a final pass on him. Brooks has his head down a lot as he runs towards the box. I'm loving the headache CW has with our forwards

He touched the ball 4 times and made 1 pass, which was unsuccessful (link).

Yeah sorry Cappy thought he did nothing last night, and I thought Brooks was unlucky to be taken off when he was.

Undoubtedly our most likely threat against Portsmouth though. I don’t think either him or Brooks have played consistently enough so far to nail down the shirt as their own

Yeah I was yet to be impressed by him until I saw him at Portsmouth. Couldn't tell if that's cause he was so much better, or because I was quite low down in the stand and closer to seeing how he was having their defender on toast.
