I thought this was really good. Seems to have come out of his shell a little bit. Had a dip in form but could be a big player for us in the last ten games if he picks up.

Compare contrast the journey Hecky took McAtee on through his season with us. From raw talent out of his depth in 'mens' football to match winner.... Look what Wilder has done with Rak Sakhi. He's the same player today as he was the day he walked through the door....

Look at the job Hecky did with MGW, Ndiaye, McAtee and look at what Wilder is doing with Hamer, Rak Sakhi and O'Hare....

Not a Wilder player. Doesn't run about enough. Although he's not been banished like Brooks, at least. He should have started more games. Madness to have someone so talented and not played him regularly. He's very raw though. Surprisingly raw. Much more than I expected.

Poor with younger players? The bulk of our team this year have been younger players. Cooper, Burrows, Seriki, Arblaster, Peck, Gilcrist, Clarke, Rak-Saki, Campbell, Brooks, BBD, Brewster, Cannon, Oné are all 25 or younger.

Never saw Cooper last year so no idea, but given him and Burrows have made a step up in leagues it’s probably fair to say both of them.

Arblaster has been given captaincy by Wilder before his injury.

Peck, Seriki and Gilchrist all been given their first proper league season to develop.

Campbell would have to be the biggest improvement given what Stoke fans said about him, but again I’d never seen him before.

Everyone used to say oh Wilder doesn’t play the kids. Now that can’t be said, it’s oh he doesn’t improve the kids. Just acknowledge we have a young side which is 3rd in the table.

Rak sakyi was massively under utilised all season. I appreciate he was injured for a bit but he always made a difference when he came on. When we sat deep and invited pressure (like we did in 95% of games) he single handedly turned us back in to a threat. His early link up play with Seriki was very good, it was a hell of a double substition when they came on against a tiring opposition.

But no, let's keep it "solid" by hitting it to the channels, giving the ball away, time waste etc. Dull and uninspiring, rinse and repeat.

I'd have been pissed off if I was him Saturday. Sunderland bring pace on. Rak-Sakyi is inconsistent yes but he's a threat and the stats don't lie.

JRS probably would've converted that Brooks chance. But then again, he probably wouldn't have got in that position because he lacks the bite.

He would've been a great sub for that game though because he's the type of player who can make things happen especially when there's space for counter attacks. Completely freezing out one of the few flair players in the squad feels like negligence almost.

He won’t be asked anything challenging because he doesn’t tolerate it. We’ve seen what happens on the very rare occasions in the past when his tactics, substitutions etc are questioned.

He’s aware of the criticisms and questions because he refers to them in pressers, usually dismissing them as “noise & nonsense” or similar. He isn’t a man who is open to scrutiny or accountability.

That’s the way with championship wingers. I think some in our fanbase misunderstand how inconsistent championship wingers tend to be as we’ve not played with them for years.

Big season for him next season and he needs to probably stay in the south.
