I got the Palin bit of the comment earlier in the thread - Which I am pretty sure the answer is 'Blade' as I have a Monty Python album that has refference to Sheffield United and the Blades badge on the inside cover.

Just to support this argument (if it really is an argument!), on the inside cover of the Pole to Pole book it shows all of Michael Palin's kit, and there's a Utd hip flask!

The Times link says she rebuffs criticism of the Blades. The "spikes" link says she knows what colour Wednesday's kit is.

Jessica was in the year above me at King Ecgbert's and i remember the PE teachers were bigging her up, particularly her high jump and before one of our lessons we were able to watch her practicing it, needless to say i was amazed at how high she could jump even back then!

Whether she's a blade or owl i have absolutely no idea i'm afraid.

Massive congrats to her though just shows anything can be achieved!
