Jebbo

The booing of Jebbo was one of the most embarrassing things I've ever witnessed as a Blade. I'm absolutely flabbergasted that such a nothing player for United, who served as a makeweight for the transfer of Moore (who is a vastly better player) was subject to such rigorous vitriol.

Seriously, what the fuck did he do to deserve that? Have I missed something?

Wilder requested a hostile reception for him didn't he? That's what I was told in the ground anyway pre-match.

Yea his 6 goals made all the difference.😂

I’m done discussing McBurnie. He is yesterday’s chip paper. And for around £30m that his 5 year stint has cost the club, thank fuck for that 😃.

I think you have got your seasons mixed up. He got 13 league goals during the promotion season, not 6. And those 13 goals were very important in getting us promoted and the promotion probably saved us from financial catastrophe.

My bad.

5 seasons. 26 goals.

£1.15m per goal.

I’ll shrink back in to my dark little hole with tail between legs 😂.

First home win this calendar year and you're coming out with drivel like this and calling people cunts for booing....

Yep - I'd scurry off to your dark little hole

I have been booing the posts and posters whilst reading this thread.

Where does everybody stand on this?

Sander Berges recent reception pisses all over what you state above.

And I’ll guarantee the reception McSunburn gets will be an embarrassment by direct comparison.

We do have a peculiar criteria for our heroes down in S2 don’t we !!!

UTB
Was the Sander Berge one the one where about 50 people joined in and you somehow managed to suggest it was 5,000?

On the subject of booing. Can anybody who booed Laruchi today please explain why?
That one was strange. I was delighted he was playing against us, and he really did nothing wrong whilst here (other than being shite, like Jebbison).

That said, it was hardly anyone. For context, some people believe in UFO's and that the earth's flat.

Wasn't down with the booing but he's not our player now. Don't rate the kid but good luck to the kid. We've moved on.

My constructive criticism of players has, bluntly, fuck all to do with booing.

Booing officials.
Booing players.
Booing the fucking programme man.

It’s akin to the acts of petulant 4 year olds. That’s my opinion. I’m standing by it.

If it suits you to link the 2 together in order to assist a point you make which justifies the actions, and attempts to play down my own point by referencing completely off piste subjects, knock yourself out.

Happy for you 👍.

What did I do wrong!

He refused to play for over a year. Which in fact, really helped us, because he was absolutely fucking useless for us.

Then proceeds to carry on about McBurnie a couple of posts later.
If it wasn't for Oli nobody would even know who you were 🤣.
Check my post history, I don't chastise many on here but you sir, are an absolute whopper in the highest degree.
Literally every thread on here you turn into some homage to how much you don't like Oli.
Give it up FFS.

"I tried my hardest to change his mind. I got a lovely text off him afterwards but he wanted to make that move.

"He's another one that wanted to play at a different football club. I respect that. I hope we make it as hostile as possible and he gets a proper Bramall Lane reception. He’s an opposition player coming into our backyard on Sunday.

"I'm sure everybody will understand my attitude and feeling towards it but I've no issues with Jebbo. He had a few injuries here and there are lessons learned hopefully now, in terms of young players and contractual situations.

"We did a deal with a young player going one way and an experienced player coming the other way. [Chief executive] Steve Bettis managed to get that deal done. We lost one that we didn’t really want to lose, we tried our best to keep him, and we brought one in that we’re delighted with.”

Based on the gaffer's own words there, I'm still struggling to see where the hatred was deserved.

I'd say the reception he got from players and staff said enough.

In his defence, I think he was suffering from a blood clot in his leg for a lot of that time, allegedly caused by a member of our medical team?

But I think he has been messing the club about for some time, saying he’d sign then changing his mind and eventually moving to Bournemouth. (I know someone, who worked in the service industry, who was tasked with assisting Daniel for quite a long time and she, unusually, didn’t have a good word to say about him)
It seems he has a rather over inflated opinion of himself and is not the most popular young lad to have passed through the academy. I think his most recent contract retraction, was probably what motivated Chris Wilders plea that he hoped Jebbison would get a ‘hostile’ reception upon his return.

So if you didn’t like the booing, blame Wilder !
