It's not like he was a contributing player, Mcburnie however left under the same circumstances, so why are bothered about jebbo?

A bigger loss was mcburnie, at least he wasn't scared of grass was he..

Not sticking up for Jebbison at all but we keep on giving a certain £20m plus striker at the club chance after chance when his record is actually far worse....appears Jebbisons main "crime" was to dare to refuse a new contract with the mighty Blades.

Don't get me wrong, I don't think he will ever make a name for himself in the game but I would also say the same for Brewster.

No idea why people on here get in a tizzy or have ill feelings about ex players leaving,he thought he could better himself,at present it’s not working out . Good luck to him especially at the weekend, once he left it certainly didn’t irritate me,more important things going off.
My thing with how fans react is that it is totally hypocritical: when the crowd decides someone is no longer good enough, then they will almost hound them out of the club (via social media I mean). Norwood is a good example, had some absolute pelters on here towards the end. If, however, a player does it on their terms, they are a money-grubbing Judas and public enemy number 1 for all eternity.

This is not true though. I don't remember Osula getting pelters for instance. Most players leave with a GLTTL. Norwood was released because his legs gad obviously gone. People who disrespect the club and the fans such as Lunstram, Ramsdale and Jebbison earn their distaste.

Genuine question - Am i the only one missing something about the way he left the club?

Didn't we offer him a deal and he rejected it and decided to sign elsewhere? Was there any more to it?

Did the club's rumoured negligence in his medical issues play a part? (I appreciate this part is all hear say)

I don't think he was great, I was surprised when he managed a move to a higher level - Yes. Do I blame him - no. Do I wish him well - Yes, apart from the 180 minutes he plays against us.

With respect, I think this is bollocks.

Brewster has really struggled with injuries the entire time he's been here and you can see he's at least working his bollocks off to be fit and a part of things.

When injured, he's always been at our games, cheering on the team, staying positive, and he seems to be extremely popular amongst the squad and whatever management team we've had in place.

That he hasn't delivered isn't really on him... and if it's just a lack of ability (which I don't believe) that would be our fault rather than his.

Totally different to Jebbison.

Have a listen to Wilder's interview today where he speaks about Tom Davies.
These lads don't want to be injured and just dragging a wage.

Reading between the lines(and Wilders comments) I get the impression that he was fannying about with his new contract and stringing the club along. It is unusual for a manager to ask the fans for a hostile reception for an ex player, even with some of the absolute wage thieves we have had to put up with. Personally, I thought he was wank, so was glad he turned down a contract.

His medical issues were explained by Bettis. I don’t think it was negligence as much as just ‘one of those things’: with any blood test I believe there’s a very very small risk of developing a clot - and he did. Whether he felt aggrieved by the way his career and health were jeopardised by the medical team at SUFC accidentally causing his blood clot I really don’t know - that part definitely is hearsay.

BETTIS:
"I don't think they really (know what's been happening). I think there was one point where it was quoted that he had a 'mystery illness' or something like that.
"At times you are respecting the players privacy and their medical records but I know that Daniel is happy because I have spoken to him about it, that he's happy for me to say what I'm saying to you.
"We do blood tests on the players regularly to check various things and following a blood test Daniel had here, he basically got a blood clot. Then that involved that whole process of figuring out what happened, why it happened, how it can't happen again. For a time he was on blood thinners so obviously he can't play because if he gets a cut or anything, that stops him. That's all been resolved and Daniel is fine again and there's no issues and he can play, but he's come back and he hasn't played for such a long time that naturally at times you pick up injuries because your body's not been training every single day.
"So I really feel sorry for Daniel but he's close to coming back and I think he will play for us before the end of this season, he'll get games for us which will be great. We as a club, he is someone we would love to get him nailed down to a longer term contract and as I say we are having positive discussions with him now.”

He'll be in the MLS before he's 25

You've missed my point mate. I wasn't talking about their personalities, chalk and cheese in that respect, moreover their playing records.

Tend to agree. I seem to remember Ramsdale refusing to play. Lundstram downed tools. Jebbison turned his back on the club that had been supportive to him when he had not been able to play for a year through illness. Osula did not to my knowledge seek to leave the club. United decided ro cash in and raise funds for other transfers in which case GLTTL. Norwood was well past his best but was a great servant to the club. Norwood's time with us was just up and I don't think he wanted to leave. GLTTL again. I get that professional footballers have to look after themselves. That's fair enough. For me though that makes me appreciate the players who show loyalty and commitment all the more. We have been lucky over the years to have had a fair few of those

Totally agree. Most fans aren't stupid. Most read between the lines on what is happening and why. The workings of a football club isn't some mystical unfathomable boundless pit that we as simple fans just cannot comprehend. Most football club employees I've known are as thick as horse shit tbh... but they've never bothered me.

Promising player that stalled on different reasons. Bit - part for us. Wish the best and move on. New players from the acedemy rolling in. Impressed with our set up. Talentfactory.

Bit hard to score when on the pitch for a total of 1 minute lol.

Larouci did get an assist tho
It Only Takes A Minute to score against Wednesday (and yes, I may regret saying that next week!)
