21 years old, 6ft 4, French, quick, strong, good with the ball at his feet, 12 goals in 31 Bundesliga appearances last season, the type of player we should be after?

Understand why you say that due to the current squads tight knit nature, but feel as though we have to start introducing players from outside of these regions to progress in the long term, would be detrimental to ourselves not too.No keep it British/Irish

English clubs have looked at him before. Think Newcastle were interested before he signed for Mainz. If he speaks the language, has the personality and won’t break the bank then yes he’s exactly what we should be after.
But chances are we won’t be alone as well.
Very fair point, although I was thinking that Huddersfield managed to signed Mounie from Montpellier for £11.5m after 14 goals in Ligue 1, a fair comparison? After 12 goals for a lower Bundesliga team, it’s likely that a few clubs will be looking at him, so can’t see this one happening. He’s also got three years left on his contract so Mainz aren’t going to let him go on the cheap.
The order in which you state the lads perceived attributes reveals muchChrist, I like the look of him. Big, black, French, two good feet and elastic as fuck.
Hopefully the sort of player we'll be signing next summer after we've stayed up for a season.
Just a hunch but i reckon our first overseas CW signing will be from South America.
Just basing this on the fact that Paul Mitchell said we had recently been in touch with scouts down there.
Stuart Baxter, father of Lee, is currently the manager of the South African national team, having managed the team before, as well as SuperSport United & Kaiser Chiefs. Lee, son of Stuart and ex of this parish, is currently the goal keeping coach at Kaiser Chiefs. South African football at all senior levels isn't that great, although they are in u20's WC later this month.
Interesting... I mean, South America and South Africa are different places, but still... Interesting.
