Another one on the way out. Clough seemed harsh on JCR at the time but he's done very little under Adkins. He's never going to get a look in whilever the manager persists with 3-5-2.

Scougall gone too. Both players have ability but seldom produce. The right decision seems to move them on.

I hope they're keeping count because at this rate we'll turn up with ten one day and one of the players will have to phone his mate and get him out of bed for a game.

TBH we have seen as much of Paul Woolhouse as we have of JCR in the last few months. He obviously wasn't in the plans, I just wish we could find something similar for Woolford.

JCR was nothing more than a squad filler when he signed, and he has been nothing more than a squad filler during his time here. I liked JCR, he showed a lot of effort and application, and he also showed a bit of love towards the club, but unfortunately he is not much more than a L1/L2 journeyman.

Agree with all that.

He should have been signed on a one-year deal at the time, but that's not very Sheffield United is it?

But at least that's one less player our ball-boys will be collecting crosses from on the bottom tier of BL.

Our only player who can carry the ball up the pitch. A good impact sub. Should've been used more. Shouldn't have been allowed to leave unless we're getting in another loan winger/attacker.

I agree about the impact sub bit, think he should have come off the bench more but shows how bad we are when we miss him.

Absolutely, a journeyman lower league winger who produces next to nothing and the fact he's classed as one of our most exciting players says it all at the moment.

Agreed.

JCR has had more clubs than I've had hot dinners.

A good game once in a full moon and there is a reason he has spent most of his time in league one.

Good luck to Jam but it's time to move on.

Not a big surprise this. Not getting a look in and doesn't suit the way we are currently playing.

He was a player that liked big games. Remember him being very good away to QPR and Spurs. Other than that fairly inconsistent and could never hold down a place despite being entertaining at times.

Might do a decent job for Chesterfield short term as an impact player.

JCR had a bit of pace and at least tried to be positive and go forward. So he was never going to fit in with Adkins' approach.

Hated Wilson, hated Weir, hated Clough and now hates Adkins. Bit of a pattern developing here.

FWIW he could take teams apart on his day. His day wasn't often enough and there is the problem.

If he does go, he's always given us QPR, so thanks for that. Bit inconsistent, but at least he would try to attack, and very strange that given Adkins had a reputation for 4-4-2 and JCR was the only real 4-4-2 winger we have, that he didn't get more of a run.

Wilson did well until we lost Ched then like the team he fell apart. As for the other 3, you are right there is a pattern - they all underperformed and produced boring, negative, unsuccessful football.

We have had some good managers in my time - such as Bassett, Kendall, Warnock - but not for a while unfortunately.

Yet couldn't cross and ball.
Zero end product but runs fast.

Runs fast , but not so fast with the ball at his feet . Another player classed as a journeyman and lower league 1 , 2 standard . That's why the bloke has been playing for us . We need and are making the right moves for upwards and onwards. Good move again for SUFC IMO.

Febian brandy had one good game, unfortunately it was when he was playing for Walsall

Doesn't the pattern tell its own story . The majority of players going out of the door , we all seem to remember 1no good game or individual performance from the lot of them.

Scougall v Hull also springs to mind.

Shows we have players who are inconsistent and ain't good enough for the ultimate task / aim of promotion. All out of the door is good news and business , and what you get with a mixture of managers and a mixture of players brought in . Adkins has started the revolution .
