The whole Bloody team was weak !!!!
Maybe it's just that as captain he has to be the weakest......

their goalie was an argumentative cheat
jay played a key role in 2 of their goals though, that why he gets his own thread. I've not really had a go at him before but you can't keep being weak and expect to keep getting picked
Just seen the goals again on TV and it just confirmed what I thought at the time. I thought McEveley was fouled on the first goal (not shown on Football League show, so couldn't state either way if it was a foul) but the rest of the defending in the box was disgraceful. Three or four times someone had chance to get shut or get a decent tackle in but didn't and when they scored there were 6 white and red shirts stood around not picking anyone up (there was only 2 Bury players in the vicinity). I'd have to another look but I'd suspect none of them were McEveley as he was 40 yards away on his arse. There were many more culpable over that first goal than McEveley.
Second goal was down to Salmon then Wallace not closing down their right back. The final one McEveley should have been stronger but he did get a shove in the back and was covering for the ball over the top of what looked like Collins.
Yet you'll happily watch Little Louis play for the opposition (judging by the ratio of his passes to them, compared to our own players) without adverse comment. He could have no complaint had he been subbed at half-time......again.
Bladey Hypocrites.
What's so entertaining about your posts, Pinchy, is that you are the only person in the world with an extensive repertoire on the one-tune banjo.
You can tell the Blades Mad site is fucked.

the last goal from my angle looked like he was pushed
Thankk youHe was
I know Adkins wasn't responsible for giving him a new contract but new manager or not, he deserves criticism for the absolutely awful decision to make him captain. No getting away from it. Maybe it's a squad lacking obvious choices for captain but surely he watched some videos and saw what an absolute disaster he was for us last season.
A proper goalkeeper would've probably stopped at least one of them to be honest. But I'll have to watch them again.
We should have recruited the players Bury did during the Summer.
Their centre back Clarke is much better than Collins or McEv although he is older
Leon Clarke is better than Connor Sammon, Clarke is only 29 and will still be better than Sammon for some years. He must have scored about a dozen against us, he will get more goals over this season than Sammon.
Their left back was a strong and aggressive athlete
Tom Pope was a blades target last year but he went there instead, he scored today and yet we waste money on Higdon.
Mellis is an athlete, compare him to Louis Reed and Scougall who looks 6.
Even their subs looked like athletes and their goalie was an argumentative cheat. But they all showed fight and desire when we lacked it.
We need to change our recruitment style and actually show some ambition rather than being constantly outgunned in the transfer market by tiny tiny tinpot Lancashire clubs like Bury and Wigan that survive on pitiful crowds of 2000 to 5000 but that are run by ambitious Manc football people.
I think it showed today that clubs like Fleetwood, Bury and Wigan are far more ambitious. Their board of Directors and players want it so much more than ours.
The fax machine being broken all the time is beginning to p1ss me right off.
It's all very well having a reasoned post based on evidence, but it's much better just to abuse the player in a wide range of insulting ways. Its fucking hilarious.![]()

Handsworth, you are right that the overall defending for the first was poor, but you are being very generous to our captain. He may have been fouled for the first goal but he shouldn't have been caught in possession where he was. For the 3rd goal I'd have been furious as the striker if a foul was given for that, the defender needs to be much stronger. I think the 2nd goal was just a great finish. My biggest concern today was that JCR was our only really creative option and we all know that he won't do that every week. Creative wide player needs adding to the wish list.Just seen the goals again on TV and it just confirmed what I thought at the time. He's been poor over and over again for the last 6 months. When he has a good match, it gets mentioned because everyone is shocked that he's capable of one.
He and JCR were our best players in the first half. My gripe at him is how he let his head drop after the first goal ,he isn't a leader in my opinion , but that is down to Atkins giving him the role due to lack of alternatives. We are desperately lacking one at the club and have done since Morgan retired ,priority and budget should be used on a dominant midfielder who can galvanise this team.Wrong. It's quite the opposite. He generally plays well and whenever he has a bad game everyone scapegoats him. I'm afraid he's just the latest whipping boy while some of his other team mates get away with equally piss poor displays.
He was our best player at Swindon but very few came forward to give him credit for that. If there's one thing that bores me about football at the moment is the supporters.
