Why do people make out the SPL's an awful league? For the most part it's better than League 1 and has potential Premiership sides.

Second strange point in this thread is that we're in dire need of a centre half; Basham, McEveley, Tel, Harrison, Brayford, Alcock.

Thirdly it's not like we miss glaring chances, we have at least 6 people who can play up front and have all shown they can score. I'm not saying we don't need a striker just that there's no point having a top striker if you have a static, non creative midfield.

Why go back in history when you only need to read one thread.
Like i say,if you can prove he wasn't a bench warmer this season then i'll stand corrected mate and that's all i said he was.I then went on to say i've never seen him play,so where do i slate him as a player exactly?

Let it go Wiz, please, its childlike....
You can say anything you like mate, question anything you want, its a footie forum. But by the same token, you also are allowed to have your assertions/opinions challenged by others, so why sulk in a corner when somebody comes back with a different view.
Sorry mate,i couldn't help it:) I'm not sulking either,it was just a bit of banter mate.I'm still struggling to see where i've passed judgement on him though.

Go on then, who are these 6 people who can play upfront who have shown they can score?

I don't think anyone has said we're in DIRE need of a centre half mate,i mentioned we could have done with a solid recognised one though.Basham is DM by trade,McEveley is a LB by trade,Kennedy and McGahey are still only young and Clough doesn't like to the play the youngsters too much in this position,Brayford is obviously a RB who offers too much in that position to play at CB,and Alcock is another RB who can cover but has been struggling for form even before his injury.

So in short, yes i think we could've done with a solid experienced specialised Centre back instead of another midfielder,we have too many jack of all trades and master of none, unless we keep them in their natural position.

The lad might be better than what we've got,i hope he is,but we do have an abundance of midfielders and surely enough to work from so we can concentrate on other positions, this is my main gripe mate.

McNulty, Baxter, Diego, Adams, Murphy and Higdon has and is coming into form.

Love the optimism mate but it's a bit disingenuous. Aside from McNulty, none of those are exactly prolific and even Sparky can be anonymous in games (MK Dons for example).

Baxter and Murphy haven't been great up front and are better off in other positions where they're actually effective. DeGirolamo's an outcast by the looks of it. Adams was great against Spurs but it's still very early days. As for Higdon, struggling to see much potential there. One good night in Milton Keynes aside, he hasn't done anything. I've seen no evidence to suggest he's going to start smashing them in anytime soon.

McNulty I will give you, Che and Diego may well do in time, the others combined have scored less than Eoin Doyle between them this season. Murphy is brilliant but doesn't score very often. Higdon coming into form? I would hate to see him playing crap........

Our biggest problem in the last 2.5 seasons has been a lack of goals and it doesn't seem like it will end anytime soon

Good luck holty! im a jambo he's technically better than your whole midfield. Reason he can't get a game in our team is because we have a very good midfield probably better than yours not to insult your team but we have a ex valencia player and ex ajax player dominating the league we beat most teams 3-0 to 5-1.

Hearts are top of the League above Rangers in Scottish Division 2 with a goal difference of +40-odd.
