So you think we've signed both him and Holmes to compete for Duffy's place?

OK, think what you like. But you're wrong.
Sorry ...didn't realise you were always right ....my apologies ...

Ps...in terms of Duffys dad who adores his every move ( if not lack of goals and chances created ! ) ...I like Duffy ..he's done a job ...but times change ...his return for our creative spark simply doesn't add up ....and I realise our budget ...I seriously do ...Coutts and Fleck and Clarke made Duffy useful ...but things move on....and an aside to the guy who suggests I a must a Wendy ..I have been going to Lane all my life ..played at a high level ..have my coaching badges and understand the game ..in terms of results ...my three favourite Blades ..( due to team effect on RESULTS ) have been Morgs Monty and Deano....football is all about opinions so I respect people liking Duffy ..I can see why ...but it's a results business and his stats don't add up now with the afore mentioned carrying him along ....saying that he I still in folklore as was Bobby Davison and Bob Booker ...but let's move on ..and I think the signings have put pressure al over ..and I would love to eat humble pie and see Duffy in the side and producing ...as he did when Brooks appeared ......basically if Duffy still in side in a months time we will still be in top six as Evans and Holmes are both ( technically ) better players ....pps..I am an avid blade so if you love Duffs then great ...but pleas don't call me a Wendy ..just because you like one player ...

As a high level player, blade all your life with some coaching badges, I think having the opinion that we should cash in on Brooks and get shot of Duffy.....while having your favourite all time blades being Monty Morgs and Deane says a lot about your understanding of the game you mention. That being that it is firmly set in the past with the “high tempo” speculative percentage football based on “Gerrit Forrod”
As for his stats, I believe they rank as being up there for his type of player. His main undoing is that Duff can’t maintain the required levels for 90mins, and struggles when marked out of the game. That said, being marked leaves space elsewhere.
As for technical ability, depends what you look at. Duffs ability to beat a man and dribble, speed over 5 yards will not be bettered by Holmes and Evans. Holmes can shoot however, where Duff doesn’t get the goals his positions should have afforded him, and misses the target too often.

But it says a lot that Wilder is keen to agree a new contract for Duff, so it seems unlikely that the genuine expert Blade fan has any plans of casting him aside any time soon, when if he’s saw these new recruits banishing him he would let his contract run down or sell him.

He's not a in front of back four playmaker ala Coutts at all ....he's an attacking midfielder ...always looked Bradfords best player ...not saying he is going to set the world alight ...but he is better than Duffy ....‍♂️
You must have seen a lot of him then? o_O

Not really ..there is half a dozen league 1 attacking midfielders better then Duffy ...he just benefited from Coutts and Fleck being outstanding....but yes Evans on his day is far better than Duffy .....saying all that ..I still hope Brooks may find a role in the Teaneck instead of Duffy ....

Now I'm definitely confused.

But I think playing Ched in the sweeper role in front of a flat back four is worth thinking about before dismissing out of hand
