Just watched the video, I have to say I thought this was the best yet of the podcasts. What I love about Fjortoft is how much affinity he has for us and this isn't the first time he's come out with favourable comments on us. I can think if many others who stayed longer who you never hear from, that's fine and maybe they loved us just as much, but its great to hear an ex-Blades player, especially a foreign player, talk so well of his time for us. Scored some truly amazing goals in his short career, probably only Patrick Suffo in terms of a short space of time with us, who comes close for amazing goals. My personal Fjortoft favourite goal was v Portsmouth, 1998 I think. Worst dive in history for a pen, gets up all disorientated and curls the ball in from the goal line near the edge of the box into the top corner!
Gutted, as we all were, when he left, in my view right up there in terms of skill also. Probably only Borbokis would top him from my time supporting United, both in the same team of course, great season until McDonald decided he'd had enough. The goal he's on about is worth worth a view especially for younger Blades who may not have seen it (7 minutes gone into video) plus other Fjortoft beauties!
