Must be done if Danny's poked his head out
If Hall is indeed sitting on a name or the names involved in the takeover you’d expect him to be getting pretty good info on other stuff now. Although Nixon appears to have beaten him to this one.

It's almost been done since the name was leaked. Danny is definitely pushing the narrative that he's 'more' ITK over everyone else. "Medical done mid this week (not early as reported)".Pretty easy scoop at this stage as he's probably seen him knocking about BDTBL with his binoculars.

JS fits mold perfectly for me, getting away from the not bothered lazy players of last year. Wilder will be able to get him in early enough to set the tempo for attitude for further recruits + current players. Wouldn't mind if the next one was from a similar mold either. The flashy players can come in later (with hopefully same mindset). The narrative of 'if JS plays 16 games we are screwed' is rubbish. He could play all 46 alongside some other types of players and be evetually thought of as 'the undroppable one' in a system that works. Energy in the game is huge in the modern game and for how United have always played.

Austria and Switzerland, and to a lesser extent Slovenia and Slovakia, have been given huge plaudits during the Euros. None of those teams have any world class, standout players but what they do have is a gameplan and the correct temperaments to carry it out. Football is a team game and teams will usually fare better than groups of individuals.

Not trying to slate the lad as I’ve not seen much / any of him playing. But 12 months of watching players so far off the opposition in terms of technical quality - makes me shudder at another ‘Osborn’ type.

That said We also seemed slower, weaker and lazier then all the opposition last season too - so perhaps some graft and energy will help.

If he’s able to mirror what Osborn was for us on a free for 3/4 years - I don’t think many of us could complain really.

✅ Left Footed Ben Osborn Out
✅ Right Footed Ben Osborn In

Tufty always likes having at least one person he is taller than 😉

Now the shackles have been released (no pun intended) hopefully this is a shuffle towards common sense understanding that just because your house is up for sale, you can’t simply stop mowing the lawn and paying the gas and electric!
how has Chris Wilder missed you off his player expert staff? you've probably only seen him on the odd televised game, as always whether he's good, bad, or average, watch him play before posting such snowflake shite.

Looks like this one will now go through although it’s 2 weeks after first reported.
Do we take it others will now be coming or have we got to wait even longer again, or are they already here as there has been no more media from training since day 1.
Burrows, Jones, Worrall etc can you give anymore updates rather than the daft ice cubes we get elsewhere 😂
Cheers

Leeds United news popped up on my Facebook earlier this week about him leaving and to be fair 95% of the comments where positive,
Comments like
he should have been given more of a chance.
He never let's you down.
etc
Infact there was only one negative comment that I saw and that was "we need better"

Asked me Leeds mate what he is like. Said he’s pretty decent utility player. Never got a fair run of games/a bit unlucky with people in front of him. Thinks a move away would be good for him.

Mine said pretty much the same. Decent, not outstanding, will put a shift in.

He doesn’t need me on his staff, he just needs a tape measure!

Anyway I can do better than that, I haven’t seen him at all. But I do know what 5’6” looks like.

For a team that has suffered due to a lack of physicality and athleticism would you say signing a player who is so small is going to improve that?

Looks like he played a fair bit under Marcelo Bielsa so if that manger thought he was ok he will do for me as a squad player

Surely not ffs? I was OK with this signing but why clear our injury prone players for new ones.

Regardless of what his injury record has been like up to now NWALU, I'm sure between the Shirecliffe sniper, landmine laden training pitches and performance management team, the club will find a way to ruin his hamstrings and turn him into the next 'Sicknote'.

Always feel I need to put the disclaimer in that my lasses family are Leeds fans before posting about them 😂.

I've seen loads of him and here's my take on him, a lot has already been said.

He's a hard worker and naturally being part of Bielsa-ball, he's got a good engine and ran his socks off. He has had some injury spells but from what I remember, didn't struggle to get back into the 1st team when he was fit. I'm sure he used to fill in the RB position a few times when they had other injuries and did very well. I think it's a great free signing for us. The Leeds comments about not being given a run of games/chance I think pertains to their time in the Premier League, but he played his part in getting them there. Leeds had so many injuries through Bielsa's style of football, so I wouldn't use that as a metric to judge his fitness. I've no idea what he's like recently but I always thought he was a decent player. Good on the ball, gets stuck in, runs his socks off and drives forward. It's exactly what we need in the Championship and I think the comment I saw the other day about him being an Ozzy replacement, but a fair few years younger is a good one. He's not a player for goals or assists, but I think he'll do a good job for the messy bit between both boxes.

Fairly short, hard working, we aren’t sure on his ability, injury prone.

Should fit right in, welcome to the Lane lad. Let’s hope he’s more of a Basham or Geary and finds a place to maximise his talent (and stay fit!).

Because that is all we can get or afford . After 3 seasons in the prem and two years parachute money we are the poor relations in the Championship .Anyway our medical team have run out of casualties they have all disappeared or walked out so we need to make sure they have some new casualties . Things should get better once we get rid of the girls team . I think it's Wilders fault you know ,how the prince puts up with him I am not sure . Breaking news we have signed a new tea girl but she has to provide the tea bags . Sorry I have just learned she is only on loan .
