I didnt mind Osborn but one thing id really like is if Shackleton is aggressive in the tackle. Like Mark Patterson was. I'm fine with limited but I'd like someone on the middle who can harass and tackle, snap at heels type. You don't need to be skillful to do they but it's a rare skill these days too

When was the last time we had a player like that in centre mid? I'd say Besic and that was years ago.

Not in my view. Besic was after Flecks arrival but Fleck was at his best at the same time Besic was here.

Fleck was an immense centre mid 3 or 4 years ago but I don't recall tackling particularly being his forte. Some might say Lundstrum but I thought he was known for ghosting into the box to finish things off more than Anything else.

We just seem to have lacked a centre mid with grit and aggression for years now and if we'd had that I actually think the fans would really respond to that too so I think the atmosphere would be improved too. Like how Baldock did.

I agree that fans would respond to it especially if like it’s a situational squad player for games where we’re up against it rather than a week in week out starter like Shackleton seems to be. Slater got a great reaction for doing it in the cup against Ipswich a while back.
