if we've got a sell on fee on him and we bought him back, would that mean we still get the sell on fee? So basically get 10% off the agreed fee

Will we get a percentage of that also?
SkySports reporting that Brighton are willing to listen to offers of around £4mil.
Thank goodness tufty agrees with meAnother Bladey Blade signing if it comes off
Only in S2![]()
I agree, £2mil's a good shout but there are some mad sums flying about in this league now.£4m?! $ bleeding million! You're having a larf! He wasn't even a regular starter last season for them! I'd say £2m tops but the English transfer market has gone mad which is why you'er seeing more and more German managers arriving who can exploit the better value German and continental market.
...if we play this reyt, Brighton could well end up paying us to take him off their hands![]()

To me, Murphy has never owned in whilst playing in the championship. Hardly ever been a regular. Loan on half wages or let's fill another need
IGood player, no doubt, but he's no Adrian Littlejohn...

A loan deal would suit both parties.
I fully expect Brighton to be one of the bottom three clubs,so inevitably this time next year they may be preparing for championship life once again.
Same with us,we maybe be preparing for the step up,or a step down,so a loan is a win win situation.
All of this of course is wether tufty actually wants the player or not.
37 starts in the Championship 15/16 and then 35 starts 16/17 sorry sheffielder I have a friend who goes to watch Brighton, Murphy as been a regular over the last two seasons, he had an injury towards the back end of the year and they clearly don't think he will be good enough for the Prem which is fair enough.
You heart cap-doffing.Thank goodness tufty agrees with me
Chelsea use the 3 centre half and wing back system. They then have a central striker with 2 wingers who roam on either side.I don't think he suits our current style of play, although we are passing and pushing, I don't think he would fit the system we currently use, he is not a wing back and as a central player we would need more from him defensive wise and not to float out on the left and leave space behind, I very well could be wrong but I don't see how we could accommodate his style into the current type of play.
When did Murphy develop all this pace? Must be since I last saw him. He's not slow but pacey? Not really. He's not even black.
Can't remember him ever being particularly hungry myself.
Never go back.
He had his time, both parties have moved on.
I guess he will be a little disappointed not to get a go in the premier league too. But I can see him ending up somewhere like Hull, Forest or maybe Leeds.
We got a fee for them getting promoted. Or rather him being promoted with them. Can't help but think this is a done deal not to us though.. just listened to Wilders interview from Sunday and when asked about sell on fees he says we have had a good summer on that front realling of Jamie Murphy first, Kyle and Harry. Might be just me presuming but he said it as if it was signed and completed and we had received a sell on
