Someone on Porktalk has said Jamie-Dean McDonagh was taken to hospital with a suspected broken leg in the N Ireland U19 game versus Scotland today.

We should stop sending our kids to International games

I haven't seem him play yet but I believe he's promising.

It just carries on our curse. We could do with some good luck for a change

A broken leg could be career threatening or relatively routine. But any time out for a kid of that age puts his development at risk. :(

Good luck to the lad.

That is another fckn bad news story for the blades. Feel for the lad he's a promising talent, lets hope it's a just a minor setback in his career and he's soon back playing.
UTB

Had an operation today which went well. He's hoping 4-5 months.

I broke my fibula in June, nearly 9 weeks ago and it will be another 3-4 months before I can use weights, as in the gym.

Now he is younger and fitter then me but then, when recovered, I don't have to perform at the high levels of fitness, strength and athleticism he will need to perform at.

My calf muscle is quite badly wasted and my foot and ankle are weak.

If he is back in 4-5 months he'll be doing extremely well IMHO.

I hope he is obviously but I'd be very surprised

Good luck to him anyway
