Spoke to a mate of mine who lives on Mersyside and he said that listening to the local radio they are having orgasms at how brilliant Wallace is at Tranmere. Running games, good running, excellent passing and tackling like a rugby player and looks very fit now.
Could he be someone we should recall from loan as his talent has never been at doubt just his fitness ?
A fit James Wallace is the best midfield player in our league and probably the championship -BUT can he stay fit ?.

Has he found a level where he can get away with injuries, as the physical demands of league football seem to be to much for his body.

I see that a bit differently - lower league football is more physical, especially when a player is supposed to be a bit of a star, which I'm sure Wallace is seen as at that level. As such, he's probably being targeted for some hard tackling by opposition teams and if he is fit enough to withstand that then it seems he might be over his fitness issues, in which case bring him back - his ability has never been in doubt.

It's the speed that contact is made in league football that makes injury more likely at that level ..... apparently

Mr Wilder will I think be keeping tabs on James we know how good a player he is,as I have said before fitness is the key ,if he has found it I'm sure our manager will bring him back in the new year.I have had sympathy for him but if he has finally had a break through ,we want him back,he owes us big time .
He would be like a new signing and a quality one at that.

No thank you.

He would probably look top class for 45 minutes if he returned, then pick up a knock in first half injury time and be out until Easter.

We have nothing to lose as we will be paying most of his wages anyway and if he is finally fit coming back for the run in
could be very useful. Why posters have to be sarcastic in posts about Wallace is childish, fingers crossed he's finally cracked it.

Probably the best midfielder in our league or the championship?? Based on what??! I like him but he wouldn't even be the best midfielder on our bench. Why not have him in the squad if he's fit, he's useful. But 'tearing it up' against Guiseley in the Conference doesn't make him ready for the Premier does it?? He bloody well should be tearing it up down there

Leave him there while the back end of January, bring him back as cover if he's stayed fit. One last chance.

Time to get rid of him, Id sooner see us play some of our youngsters in midfield who are more deserving of a chance.

Much like Kennedy, Wallace will never be fit enough to play regularly at this level.
Yes much rather see our youngsters get a chance.

Id go with this. Either way hes out of contract in the summer and if by some minor miracle he was to have played a few games for us at the back end of the season, he might and i say this with a huge slice of scepticism here, be fit enough to be offered a short pay as you play deal from sufc. If he was after anything else contract wise from us after all this time out and not being available then he can go f**k himself for me. Any new short term contract should only be offered to him if he genuinely looked like he could finally be getting it together and be capable of spending more time on the pitch in a season than i do on my missus on a saturday night.

In all likelihood the lads body wont allow him to play above a certain level for any serious amount of time and he will just ply his trade in the non league. A shame all round but whats done is done.

As i have posted a few times, If we can get a FIT James Wallace back to the club for a final push this season he is without doubt as good as any midfielder in this league and very capable of playing higher.

As we all know opinions do vary.

I think John Stones is a shite defender whilst others will pay £50m for him !!!

Also did he extend his contract with us? or were we feeling sorry for him in the summer and took the option to extend it?

No you're right Stones is a liability can't see what others imagine they are seeing.
