It's been well documented the issue with signing Doyle was the relegation clause. Hecky says been talking to him all summer..what do you think the issue is?

Relegation release clauses are sensible. Would you want us to be lumbered with an extremely high wage bill if we get relegated?

What's problem..clubs will buy quality..that's why archer and Hamer will be off.

And yet only Wolves were interested in paying the required for Doyle, and that’s after receiving a discount as part of the Nunes deal.

What makes you think a relegation with us would make him more attractive to clubs?

That we didn’t need him at the level he would cost. He’s a replacement for Norwood, we still have Norwood.

Manchester City insisting on a 50% sell on..that's what.

How would that make him more attractive to potential buyers upon relegation with us?

As you mention it though, if they really are insisting on a 50% sell on that’s even less reason why we should buy him.

City obviously think highly..so I don't think relegation with us would harm his career.

Tonight showed why should have just pulled trigger early on Doyle.

Norwood year by year sitting deeper and deeper.

Was virtually playing as a sweeper tonight.. against Lincoln at home !!😱

0 progressive carries

Doyle at least still gives us that mobility while being able to play the Norwood role.

C'est la vie

Norwood was our best player by some way tonight

Absolutely crying out for some creatively, we’ve no one at the minute to create anything like for a decent strike force and when you consider our strikers consist of one senior lump in McB and 2 kids that have never played at this level, we’re not scoring any goals, total embarrassment.

We need quality fast….

100% It’s mental that we dont learn from our mistakes

We’ve spend Millions of quid on strikers and all of them will struggle because we aren’t going to create anything for them.

Robinson 8/9m
Mcburnie 15m+
Brewster 20m+
Archer 18.5m

And approximately zero on attacking midfielders. We may as well burn the money we’re spending on strikers if we aren’t going to help them out.

We need some quality creativity or the season will be over before it’s begun. If we can’t use at least one of our domestic loans on mcatee or similar it’s going to be a struggle

Norwood was our best player tonight ???
first 30 mins he gave the ball away 6 times
yes he shows for it but only behind the ball
sometimes he plays it forward but only at head height
sometimes he pings it out wide but only at head height

tonight as a team we were not very good and Norwood constantly recycling the ball backwards or playing blind passes or giving the ball away with no progress up the pitch was one reason for that

As I understand it, the problem is Doyle was never a available to loan earlier in the window. So if it was perm and we've more or less done our cash now, who would you have not signed? Hamer, Souza or Archer?
