That's just from the collated football gossip from yesterday.BBC Reporting it... it's happening isn't it dad?
Sheffield United are leading the race to sign Manchester City's England Under-21 midfielder James McAtee, 20, for a second loan spell at the club after spending last season at Bramall Lane. (Football Insider)
Whilst I know McAtee wants to succeed at Man City and prioritises that, I think given the fact we have hung in there for him so long means he must have given PH the heads up that if he was allowed to leave then he'd come to us.Manchester Evening News reporting the decision as McAtee's to make:
Palmer’s exit will not block a loan move for McAtee if the young midfielder feels that is the best option for him. City have turned down offers as high as £30m this summer and will not countenance a permanent sale, but accept that Nunes and fellow summer signing Mateo Kovacic add to the competition in central midfield; a number of clubs, including Sheffield United where he excelled last season, are interested in a loan deal if McAtee would rather have a guarantee of regular starts.

Man City next transfer moves as Chelsea close to Palmer deal
Manchester City haven't finished their transfer business just yet and Cole Palmer looks set to join Chelseawww.manchestereveningnews.co.uk
Ajax seems to be out on McAtee, at least reliable Dutch media is reporting that a defensive midfielder from Norway will be the only incoming transfer for Ajax today/tomorrow.Still a chance he might fly off to Ajax.
I was of the same opinion. But the little whispers of Leicester are getting louder.McAtee will come to the Blades
Totally agree. He's the missing piece. I think with him the team has everything to stay up this year.
It's still a very big ask in my opinion. He's the missing piece. I think with him the team has everything to stay up this year.
Think we may need another striker or attacking mid myself but with McAtee for certainly a lot stronger. He's the missing piece. I think with him the team has everything to stay up this year.
Everybody knows that- but with more quality players we stand a better chance. It's still a very big ask in my opinion.
What little whispers? I can't see any benefit to city sending him to the championship again and why would McAtee want another champ loan?I was of the same opinion. But the little whispers of Leicester are getting louder.
Macatee won’t be coming back not now that Palmers off to ChelseaGood luck to Tommy!
It's a shame he won't be coming back but honestly I don't think we need him now.
All on eyes on McA now !!!
Blade56 any update?
Less possession this year a much higher standard than last year - a big step up for all, but a young kid who took 3/4 months to grow into championship football last season will have to be allowed the room to do the same in the PremiershipTotally agree.
Usual Twitter stuff. What little whispers? I can't see any benefit to city sending him to the championship again and why would McAtee want another champ loan?
The reports suggest Hecky wants AT least 2 after Luke Thomas. Doesn't mean he'll get that of course but I can't see us signing Josh King and Moore. I'd say they are in too similar mould.i think it will be mcatee and either kiefer moore or josh king might even be both if moore is only gonna cost a couple of million
Agree and as others have said, there's no advantage to either City or McCatee for another Championship loan. Neither will learn anything they don't already know. You'd expect the ideal deal for Man City would be a 12 month Premier League loan with a recall option in January in case they think we aren't developing him to their needs.
You would expect us to accept this type of deal knowing we can go out and loan again if needed in January.
Without Ndiaye, Macca could be prodigious attacker that gets all the attention in our 23/24 team and plenty of 70-80 min amounts of game time.
Surely this works far better for everyone than another 12 month Champ loan.
Gone
The update is that there is no updateAfternoon update please T-Blade haha
Moore would be a 2 year deal.McAtee and Moore (I doubt Moore would cost too much) would be a great way to end the window. Macca knows this system and how Hecky likes to play as well as knowing half the team already.
Moore is underrated by a lot of fans but scores big goals when needed. Plus Hecky knows him from their time at Barnsley doesn't he?
Why do we need Moore as back up for Wes ?Moore would be a 2 year deal.
But I want T-Blade to be the one to clarify that there is no update on your update that there is no update. The update is that there is no update
Why does anybody want Keifer Moore ? he is simply not good enough at this levelMoore would be a 2 year deal.
