Nixon alluding to the possibility of McAtee being offered to Wolves (perhaps connected to Nunes transfer)
I believe they have offered McAtee to them on loan and also to Girona. Player wants to come to us though so they can’t make him go there or anywhere if he doesn’t want to. We’re looking at left wing backs now too so that could change our premier league loan targets.

Thank fuck for that

Sociadad are a similar sized club to us. Only difference is they are doing better in La Liga than we are in the PL, and are playing in Europe.

They average around 30k. Stadium holds 39k. Population of San Sebastian metro area is only 400k.
Yeah I get that side, but as you say, in La Liga they've been there for decades bar two years out and have regularly competed in Europe and with them in the Champions League their income must be pretty high.

Being linked to Leicester now by the daily mail. I don’t understand why city are so adamant that they don’t want him coming to us. We have a very good track record with young loan players and, although I could be bias, I think it’s clear we’re going to be competent this year. Player wants to come and he’ll play near enough every game and will be a focal point. Don’t care how good city’s players and staff are, he will not learn more sitting on the bench all year rather than going at playing premier league football. Did palmer no favours last season

We could loan a player from abroad though for the LWB back rule and retain the PL loans. If we've got the budget of course.

it is possible of course that doyle and mcatee are included in the nunes to city move doyle permanent mcatee loan but as others have said you cant make players go to a certain club both these lads would like to come back here thats quite obvious

I’m really hoping McAtee is here at the end of the window. The second attacking player we were looking at was Pellistri, if we were to change that target to a foreign loan it would allow us to bring in a domestic loan for a LWB which would be better, we need PL level player with experience. Some options that may be available and willing to join us; Aaron Cresswell, Jonny Otto & Matt Targett.

I doubt he appreciates City trying to use him as a trade chip to get a better deal for another player.

What's the landscape looking like T-Blade , is it looking like one more AM (McAtee or Pellistri), a LWB on loan and then done?

2 Attacking midfielders and a LWB that’s what we want. I’m still confident on McAtee but it seems Man City maybe aren’t as keen as the player is to come to us so it’s not ideal. It depends if we use our other premier league loan on a lwb or Pellestri. If we do go for a premier league loan for the Lwb then we will push for Balde on a loan to buy.

I wouldn’t rule out us trying for Cole Palmer again if we think McAtee is slipping away so maybe one to watch if City decide he can go out although a lot of clubs will be in but sure we would be one off the front runners. Then if we can’t have any off them 2 Doyle’s next in line of our City targets so some people might get their wish although it will mean we’ve had to go with our third choice 😅.

If we don't get him now, the chances are he moves to another club, gets settled and integrated with that club, and then thinks that that club may be his future. At the moment we have an advantage as we have an emotional pull on the lad (Doyle). We won't have that advantage for ever.

Good enough to help us gain promotion to the PL twice and remain there once. Saying he’s shit is simply ridiculous. And only the hard of thinking would make such a statement. View attachment 169574
OK, let's put it another way then;

Were Sheffield United a better side when Tommy Doyle replaced Oliver Norwood to secure promotion last season?

Any answer given to that question does not support your original (idiotic) claim that Norwood is shit.

Sometimes, it really is best to just stop digging.
