The sort of player that talks a good game but goes missing for sizeable chunks of the game? That's the sort of player we need! Seriously, I hope he comes good sooner rather than later. :)

couldnt agree more Tony. All I ve seen him do so far is waive his arms around and shout a lot. Need to see so much more from him.

Seems to enjoy telling Blackie to "fuck off" quite regularly too. Mind you, that'd be enough to get him the "player of the season" title with some of the fans! :D

Unfortuantely Tony, that is just about the only good thing that Harper has done in a Blades shirt!?!? ;)

2 goals in 8 games is as good as any midfielder we've had in the last 5 or 6 years :-)

got to be rated as one the best midfielders in the division before his arrival, don't think anyone would have said thats a bad signing not even beighton.the problem is he needs the ball to feet but sure he will come good

Agreed! Thought he had a better game against Cardiff when we decided to play it on the floor and not around his neck.

i think he will turn out to be a great servant if we play football he will feature in everything positive we do play long ball and he won't. He is a footballer simple as that he doesn't go missing in games he just can't get into it when we play huff ball

No, he goes missing.

My worry at the moment is that he looks too lethargic. Sure he looks lively and has scored a few goals. But it's the defensive side of his game I am worried about. When playing with Quinn he has played the more holding role. However he hasn't done it well. He has a tendancy to chase the ball and seems to get caught out. He lack of tracking back and poor judgement (i.e. chasing the ball) has not helped in us leaking goals recently.

He has ability, he has some flair and he (at least seems) to have the motivation. However he needs to ship up fast. Without Monty in the teram he needs to step up to the mark and put a foot in and close people down. Maybe he's still struggling with match fitness (he is a box to box player and hence will need to be one of the fittest on the pitch) but it's been what 9 games now.

Come on James, start putting your money where your mouth and put in some big performances. Be the one to bust a gut for your team and start the turn around.

COYRRW.

"The fans didn't boo us against Cardiff, which was good"

Fucking hell how far have we fallen?! It's a sad day when "not booing" is the sign of good United support.

He can talk a good game pitty he is about as much use as Brian Howard was.
