Funny that, a mate of mine who's a Leeds season ticket holder says PF has been a revalation for them and deserves his place yet admits we have the best keeper in the league.
 
Peacock-Farrell now injured as well according to my fat Dirty-Leeds Scum work colleague, not sure how long he is out for, a couple of weeks I hope.

Thing is, if we'd stuck with Jamal no-one would have ever heard of Deano and he would have remained anonymous as Man U's 5th choice. This begs the question as to how many other players like him are rotting away in the U23s of every premiership club, players who could do a more than adequate job in the Championship and even the Prem?

Absolutely loads. I know he's started to get some games now but I read a great line about Ruben Loftus-Cheek over the summer about his Chelsea situation - "not good enough to play, too good to sell". I do hope we start to see a bit of a change here where players realise that getting competitive minutes is valuable - look at the England squad in the summer, almost all of them had cut their teeth in the EFL, including players from the big clubs like Kane, Lingard etc.

Feel really sorry for Blackman - a total lost season for him after being a regular keeper at an upper-end Championship club last year. Can't believe he would have gone to Leeds on the understanding that he'd be a back-up. Even before this injury he'd essentially taken a backward step career-wise. He's still young for a keeper so hopefully he's back next season and playing somewhere where he actually gets gametime...
 
Leeds mate tells me that Jam wasn’t getting in their team because he’s wasn’t good enough with the ball at his feet. How things change I remember a time when it mattered more what a keeper did with his hands!

His agent will tout him around at the end of this season, but why not stay at somewhere he's loved. He was due to play in their next game before he got injured too. I called it, barring a disaster in that game he'd probably have been playing against us. Now Leeds have no first team keepers available and are looking at an emergency loan if it can be done in time, Jonathan Bond and Tom Heaton mentioned thus far.

Makes you wonder why they signed him then. It’s not like one of his feet has fallen off since he played for us. A quick view of DVDs of our games would have shown what his distribution was like.
Are they another club with a disconnect between the manager and the recruitment staff?

Heaton is a good keeper would rather their current lad was fit

Does seem bizarre. In fairness my mate was of the view it matters more if he can keep the ball out than if he can pass it. Seems that Jam and their current lad have the same weakness low shots though

Apparently they cannot loan from the premiership, it'll end up being Stockdale but wouldn't be surprised to see Bielsa give one of the two youngsters a chance. The polish lad is apparently highly rated there.
 
Anyone think we should bring him back? He'd be better back-up/competiton for Deano than Moore in my opinion. Thought he was brilliant for us during the 17/18 season. An area of Deano's game that he's not so great at is collecting the ball from crosses/corners as he's not the tallest or imposing of keepers. So Blackman would be an alternative option who would be useful against sides who put alot of crosses in as he's excellent at collecting with him being 6'7".

He’s certainly one of a group to look at.

I'd love to get him back, as you say, rather Blackman than Moore - Moore really hasn't inspired me in his last few appearances for United. Maybe we could get a deal on a permanent with him recovering from injury and the new stockpiling players rules coming.

It'd be great to get a young permanent keeper in to compete with Hendo, and then move Dewhurst up in a couple of seasons for Moore.

I liked him, thought he was a step up from Moore, and would have been happy to see us loan him again. But Henderson was a significant step up from both in my opinion. If Henderson were to not return we should be looking at better than Blackman in my opinion – and ideally someone on a permanent deal.
 
Even if we get Henderson back for a season I’d still look to to sign Blackman on a permanent. I thought he looked really good and if we can get him for 3-4 Million I would snap him up to be our number one either next season or the season after.
 
Jamal Blackman’s command of an area is as good as I’ve seen of any goalkeeper at Championship level - truly superb.

His shot stopping isn’t on the same level as Henderson’s, but he will be a top keeper one day.
 
If we couldn’t get Henderson permanently I’d be tempted to sign him. Probably be a reasonable fee and knows the lads already. Maybe sign an experienced goalkeeper as well for him to train with and step in when required, like Bennet a few years ago.

Worldies was his real weakness. Good reaction saves, not quite Henderson levels but very good, but worldies, Christ. Every shot outside the D seemed to go in.

Too many to recall, shoot from 20 yards + = goal. Oh the memories, reminds me how good Hendo is.

Shot stopping and downward headers , to which he goes down with all the agility of a sack of spuds .

Nowhere near the ability required to be a first choice goalie in the Premier League IMO . The difference between him and Henderson and a few others who are realistic targets would be at least 10 goals - i.e . the difference between staying up or going down .
