He must be in the best bargain signings maybe not quite Bob Booker territory but certainly up there.

I will repeat what I have said many times before but I have never seen a Blades defender read the game as well as he did.

In the time I’ve watched us, I’d put him alongside McGrath for that accolade. Both had a great knack for eliminating danger before it fully developed. There was a quite brilliant challenge Wright made at Peterborough in the first half which he seemed to make at the halfway line where there was a 2-on-1 against him on the break. Had he not timed that perfectly to snuff out the break there would have been an unopposed path to goal. He really did have a calming influence, and fit perfectly into the system we developed.

Top player during our eventual rise out of League 1, and played his part last season too.

Always left me wondering why he'd spent nearly his entire career down the leagues.

Loved Jake Wright's time with us, i think he was somewhat unlucky last season (replaced by Stearman). All the best to him, and hope he continues to play well for Macca.
