What a piece of work you are Pinchy.

A young footballer who has come through the academy posts on twitter thanking everyone at the club for his time here as he moves on hoping to advance his career.

Your response is to take the piss out of him, players, fellow posters and Blades supporters who just happen to support local lads, mostly Blades who we develop in the hope that they make the first team.

You simply sneer at them and those who wish them well.

Each to his own though eh.

Absolutely. I’ll take a team of talented footballers from anywhere in the world representing the red and white with pride. You and the other Boybanders can follow the local lads giving their all for the badge around the National League, content in the knowledge that “they’re all Blades aren’t they”

Whisper it quietly, but TC was born in London, not on London Road. Keith Edwards is from Teesside, not Tinsley.

As you say, each to their own.

I see the living on someone else's past glories, Bladey Tribute Act have been at it again

He wouldn't get a mention if he had no United connections. He's a complete nonentity.

Bladey Bladey Claptrap. It never changes. Sack a manager with a proven record of success after less than a season and bring in a former Blade on the back of 15 years of not much.

Only in S2.....

Ah yes your opinions of local lad Chris Wilder.

Maybe you could ask him what it means to be from Sheffield, a Blade, playing for and now managing his boyhood club.

'He's one of our own'. You've heard the chants (or actually, maybe not).

Only in S2 eh......

Another reminder to Bladey Boybanders from football reality. Stop getting carried away. The lad [insert name] is very unlikely to be the star you are wishing on.

Have you got a link to anyone saying he was the next big thing? Prat

I watched Kennedy as well. Not big enough. Not good enough. I watched the youth team a bit in those days. I realised, for example, that Ironside was nowhere near good enough long before the idiots were singing his name and making him “first on the team sheet”.

Tel might have forged a career at League One which is pretty impressive but Beckenbauer he was not. At first team level there were more than a few defiencies in his reading of the game.

It’s very easy to be a world-beater ‘but for injuries’. It is basketball’s loss that I’m not 6 foot 11 tall.

Oh those Bladey Boybanders do make me smile.

You also said Wilder and Fleck weren't good enough

What is the problem in people wanting people in general to do well. At the end of the day that is all this is.

No, he doesn't.

This is the general 'bladey-blade' pattern:

An academy graduate is mentioned on a thread.

Pinchy bemoans bladey-bladeness, and gleefully proclaims that said player won't make it.

Pinchy is challenged to find a post implying said player will make it.

Pinchy triumphantly produces a list of other academy graduates that haven't made it.

Pinchy is again prompted by other posters to find an example of hype around the player in question.

Pinchy is silent.
