He has still not tasted defeat in a Blades shirt. There is a reason for that.

So surprised when he didn't start after the last two games.
Even more surprised McNulty started what a waste of space

We've coped without him to an extent but his recall is way overdue. He should've been in after the Walsall game at the very latest. EEL is an absolute disaster in the middle and every opponent knows it.

I thought no one was untouchable? Being a cult figure with our fans does not make you untouchable. And yes I know Basham was partly to blame for their first but he's been much better than EEL recently.

FFS CHRIS GET WRIGHT BACK IN.

Maybe we won't have to score 3 to win then?

Again the communication between centre halves was atrocious at times. When Fleetwood had their one-v-one that they missed, EEL ran across to back-up O'Connell in facing down an opponent, but in doing so left a Fleetwood player totally unmarked and that player should have scored.

The fact he needs Wright alongside him is now so glaringly obvious it's painful. EEL is still a very useful player when used correctly, but he can't do what Wright can.

This thread has been on repeat for the last month, the only person yet to see it is Wilder.

It's not just the defence that's missing him, it's the rest of the team. There was no proper leaders on that park tonight, I just hope Wilder isn't going to do a Warnock, dig his heels in "because Colin knows best" and keep Wright out because most of the fans are calling for his return.

The statistic continues: Jake Wright has never lost game.

...unless he was in Wilder's team in Christmas Cluedo and lost, hence why he dropped him.

UTB!

He barely broke into a stroll today. Granted Wimbledon were toothless, but our shape and communication is in a different league when Wright plays.

Against better teams he's vulnerable to pace, and he might get caught on the ball. But in a back three in this league, I think he's golden.

Yes we were more solid but Wimbledon haven't scored away since November apparently, so we can't massively read into the clean sheet today.

EEL was better at RCB but Basham was better than him when he came on. We didn't have any more problems with Elliott's physicality than we did in the first half.

I thought Elliott looked like a very useful target man for them but the wide players had no impact whatsoever. Their two small midfielders were decent, but overall they just didn't threaten.

One thing I thought Wilder could be questioned in, was his failure to bring Wright back in after Walsall.
At least he did it today.

Imagine where we'd be now if Wilder hadn't been struck down with that temporary blindness.
