Let's do it, let's win the title!
They not French? :O
Let me just study the pictures to see if there is any sign of a beret, bicycle, string of onions or a hooped shirt

They not French? :O
Its probably not much of a gamble with these 2 and both will be setting out to impress from the get go so its a win win for both parties.
Anyone got any backgrounds on these 2 players?
If he's had anything to do with Walsall i have no hope for the lad, especially after our dealings with any ex Walsall player. Get rid now before it's too late.Bennett played for the U23s against Crewe 2 weeks ago. Larkymasher was at the game and posted on here that he was impressed with him (as was Baw Heid).
He had a trial at Wallsall over 3 years ago:

Congratulations to Jake for signing a professional 18 month contract with Sheffield United.
Thank you for your performances, will miss you bombing down the wing and putting in decent crosses.
I voted Jake as my player of the season last season.
Good luck for the future. Im sure a lot of people said you and your family are welcome back at Sports any time.
I second that. All the very best Jake, we’ll miss you.
If it’s a straight swop for Connor Hall it might help soften the blow a little bit but seriously I really do wish him all the best and hope he gets a chance to show them what he showed us.
Top player and thankfully a level headed very pleasant young fellah as well. I think he’s got a real chance as a pro and sincerely wish him all the very best.
Big loss for Sports and I feel it would be nice gesture by Sheff Utd if they would let us keep Connor until the end of the season …………. I WISH!!
And this is a clip of him putting in a cross for Clinton Morrison:
This concludes today's Jake Bennett news.
That last sentence is utter BLASPHEMY! May the Spanish Inquisition without the comfy cushions visit you. Yours is a disgrace.
I wish both lads good luck, but you know, I'm sorry, I don't get excited at all by these kind of signings. I think it's great for them that they've joined a good club but we have absolutely no idea, not a clue, whether either of them will ever turn out to be any good. The chances are - they won't.
I remember back in the day, there used to be a regular feature in the old "Lane Line-Up" match-day programme, on our up and coming youth players. I would say, without fear of being wrong, that less than 1% of the players featured actually ever established themselves in the first team. Anyone remember Albert Staniland for example? No? I do. At least I remember a big article about him in a Lane Line-Up programme from the early 70's - talking about how he was going to be the next big thing. He never saw the light of a day in a first team shirt as far as I recall. And there's not a bean about him on the internet - so I can only assume he never made the grade as a footballer anywhere?
Take our most successful youth team in the last half-century, the one that played in the Youth Cup Final at Man Utd a few seasons ago. Where are those lads now? Only Harry Maguire actually made the grade out of the whole team. (If that seems harsh on George Long and Callum McFadzean it's meant to be). 1 player out of a squad of 16 or more. But the chances of success are much lower than that. We got all excited about Jordan Slew - thinking he was going to be the next big thing. Where is he now? Alive and well at Plymouth Argyll, having been released by Chesterfield last season after making just 7 substitute appearances and impressing no one.
Another great white hope from that team, Joe Ironside, who many fans (including a fair few on here) were saying would be the next centre forward for us, is plying his trade now at Nuneaton, having failed to make the grade at Alfreton and been released on a free transfer.
It's high stakes this football lark. Very, very few young kids actually make it through - even when they've joined a big club like ours with great coaching facilities. So, I'm not being horrible to these lads - I'm just saying - they'll need to get a lot closer to the first team before I can even begin to think about them as exciting prospects.
100% BLADE is a disgrace?
Methinks you are deserving of The Spanish Inquisition,or better yet, being made to listen to the triple borefest that is Yessongs none stop for 24 hours. And if that hasn't reduced you to a gibbering wreck any of the castrated ones solo offerings.
Bennett was neat and tidy, an half decent display showing a lot of energy up and down the wing.
But like many of the others he was too safe and seemed more focussed on not making errors.
A few times he sprinted down the wing with the ball on the break, he could have took his man on or put in a cross the back post but instead he cut inside, stopped and then passed it sideways to Duffy.
Where as Nathan Thomas was more unpredictable, did a few dribbles with fancy skills and step overs, looked really good in spells but he also choose the wrong options, made mistakes and looked poor at times too.
Danny Rose was a winger when Spurs signed him. I couldn't understand why they persisted in trying to turn him into a wing back. I got that very wrong.Did well
We have to understand with him and Thomas they are wingers, not wingbacks.
Moses is the only player I can think of who's turned from a winger to a wingback in the English game recently. All the others (and there have been plenty with more and more trying 3 at the back) have been attacking full backs ala Freeman, Stevens. I think they both need a lot of credit.
Overall he looks tidy, quick and decent on the ball. They both showed a fair bit of defensive work yesterday, and they were the better of the performers along with the subs, Duffy and Brayford for me. A loan spell in League 2 would do him the world of good.
True, I suppose that is pretty recent too in the grand scheme. I always forgot he was once upon a time a winger. Brilliant left back/wing back he's turned into.Danny Rose was a winger when Spurs signed him. I couldn't understand why they persisted in trying to turn him into a wing back. I got that very wrong.

See this is why players chose the safe option. Naturally when people try the difficult option, it's not going to come off a higher percentage of the time and then they have people saying they're poor.
With wingers you have to take the rough with the smooth, they're bound to make mistakes, but the method leading to these mistakes is more likely to create chances too.
Yes, Bennett was a right full back at Mickleover. Signed as right full back in a 4 or right wing back in a 5.Bennett's a right back isn't he?
