That's exactly what I'm thinking!!. I can't believe he's even considering going there!!. He's currently on about £50 000 a week at Everton. I don't believe it, Everton are yet to decide on his future and if he was to take the step down to the Championship i doubt it would be to them. Personally if he moves club i think it will be a Premiership club maybe a Burnley, West Brom, Stoke etc but we shall see.

Aside from the fact he's probably banked £15-20M in basic wages since he left us, money shouldn't be an option at this stage if he's been sensible.

If we pay him, say 15-20K a week on the basis he's player/coach, I think it's safe to say he'd be 'earning' a comfortable living. Would he really go to them just for an extra 10K a week and all that would go with it ?
