What if he wants to play football instead?

Well, if hes on 65k p/w for five years at Spurs then all we have to do is offer him is 22.5k p/w over 10 years...

..and a coaching role, that bus won't drive itself!

Is it the maths that is confusing or what? if so, I'll show my working for an extra mark;
There is 52 weeks in a year, and 156 weeks in 3 years.
60k x 52 = 3.12m
20k x 156 = 3.12m
Basically we could give him the same amount of money as everton do by giving him a longer length contract on less money.

So basically, you're saying to give him a third of his wages... Yes, we could do what you propose, but that assumes that if he stayed at Everton for the final year of his contract and was then signing on for 2 years, he'd be better off at United. Actually, he wouldn't. He'd be on 60K (your figure) + 24 months of his dole money so what, 104 weeks @ 73 quid a week for the over 25's = £7592. Or £67,592 for one years work and 2 years signing on v's £60,000 for 3 years work...

Weren't we told there was a big name coming in? Been simmering for ages like Chedwyn??

If McCabe makes Wilder sign Jagielka as well as Ched, it could be the final straw. Just saying.

AHA! Not many people know this, in fact I think I may be the only one. The more people who put money on something the shorter the bookies make the odds! Only I know this.

Yes bookies are that dumb they go to 3/1 on when Danny from Lowedges puts a fiver on it. Market shaker

Told this afternoon by a Blade that has close connections it's on.
