Jagielka

Max hasn't tweeted since February, unless he's opened another account.

So Max hasn't tweeted since February and suddenly all these very similar accounts are popping up with wild rumours. Coincidence? Surely even he isn't that sad.

It's not just what he has posted, if you look at every single twitter account that has started this rumour or claimed to be in the know they're all coincidentally similar, why on earth would a student journo from Hull or Leicester have this news before radio Sheffield or James Shield for example.

It looks to me as though a very sad person or persons have created multiple accounts to get this rumour going and then a couple of the "transfer news" accounts have picked up on it and it's snowballed from there.

Like I've said if I'm wrong I'll hold my hand up and Jags may even sign at some point but Twitter trolls saying it's a done deal are just making stuff up imo.

I for one won't raise my hopes till I see it reported in full on Football League World...

Bladey Bladeness is strong on this rumour....

Could only ever see this happening if it was a loan deal with Everton subsidising hia wages.

Why would Everton do that and get a small fee plus hia wages off the books. And for Jagielka when he could go somewhere like Stoke, Bournemouth, WBA and still be first choice?

I can't be bothered to read all the previous 247 posts, so apologies if it's already been said, but Jags will be 35 in August.

On that basis it would be daft to sign him, unless a future coaching role is involved.

If he is on 60k p/w on 1 year deal then we could match that with 20k p/w on a 3 year deal which is a lot especially as that would be from age 35-38 BUT if this pipedream has some credibility, he would improve our back line exponentially this season.

A trainee journalist on twitter saying Phil Jagielka return to Blades is now a formality!

I've seen his profile, he's only got 50 followers so I don't know if it's genuine or a publicity stunt.

I sent the Radio Sheffield lads a message on twitter last night asking if they'd heard anything and they haven't replied................................

They probably haven't stopped laughing yet.

Don Givens ready to give it another crack, and I quote "felt I left under a cloud last time but I'm still up for the fight and I'm not afraid to step up and take a penalty when needed."

Which is more than Jordan Rhodes does.

Can you run that by me again but in English

Is it the maths that is confusing or what? if so, I'll show my working for an extra mark;
There is 52 weeks in a year, and 156 weeks in 3 years.
60k x 52 = 3.12m
20k x 156 = 3.12m
Basically we could give him the same amount of money as everton do by giving him a longer length contract on less money.

Why didn't you say that, give him 1 years salary in 3 years, easy, still bollocks mind

You're assuming he won't earn any money in years 2 and 3 if he stays at Everton.

Yes I am because he has a 1 year contract with Everton. I'm also assuming he's on 60k p/w I dont actually know what it is.

We've got him at 10/11 to sign now so there must have been some more money come in for him.

So we sign a 35 year old for 3 more years?

Great logic....
