Jagielka looks like he's lost it.

Jags has been a model pro, never in the tabloids for the wrong reasons and an honest decent guy.

He may well be coming towards the twilight of his career, and if so I hope he goes down gracefully. None of this dropping down the leagues looking for his last pay deals....see out his Everton deal, maybe pop out on loan but see it out and call it a day. He will be a wealthy guy, and in a position to enjoy his retirement and maybe get into coaching, or other business interests.

As for a blades playing return....,sorry but not for me. We want players on the up, not down. We have been there, done that, got relegated. If however he can offer valuable advice and coaching to the youth team and academy...then I'm all for it. His experience in the national side and playing at the top of the game would be valuable for any academy player to learn from in terms of tactics, mental approach or just an example of how to conduct yourself.

That's my feelings on it anyway. Wish him all the best. Hopefully he's just getting fit and will be close to his best soon.

You could also say we would never have been relegated had it not been for Jags

Indeed, you could say that. You could also say Black Lace were better than Black Sabbath, that Hilda Baker was more shagable than Michelle Phifer and that Jeffrey Archer was a better author than Tolstoy.
People would think you're a right twat if you did though . . . . . . .

Do I wish he'd kept his hand down on "that" day, of course I do, but there was a suspicion he was shoved in the back. But when all is said and done, there were other people and circumstances just as culpable over the course of the season. What he did that day, for me is outweighed by everything else good he did over the course of his time with us.

He has had a fantastic career with us and Everton, and has been an England regular. And, as far as I know anyway, has only had his name in the paper for the right reasons. Perhaps as near a role model as you can get in the modern game in my opinion.

True, I'm sat here now wondering whether to listen to War Pigs or We're Having a Gang Bang whilst reading either War and Peace or First Amongst Equals. It's a tough choice.
Obviously I'd shag Hilda over Michelle, if she were still alive, or even still warm.
