Shining light for me in an otherwise poor performance. Certainly not spectacular but pacey, defensively solid and a monster of a throw in. Feel very assured that he's excellent cover if any of the usual back three are injured. Poor game but sometimes poor performances still win games. The powers that be are desperate for Manchester United to beat us into Europe!! How is it acceptable for GLT to be turned off for the entire first half? Someone wants sacking

Spot on.

I agree with Robinson complaints, but I think the performance was decent. We looked decent on the ball, didn't give it away much, didn't give them many chances and of course scored and had we won 1 - 0 we'd have been saying what a good result and grinding out performance it was. We've not played in 100 days, Villa sat deep when we had the ball, as of course, so did we when they had it, it was a cagey game as a result. I think that was a 7/10 but each to his own I guess.

He played really well I thought. As expected, we would miss Fleck more than JOC in this match.
Fleck was certainly missed. The midfield looked completely disjointed. When we got on top and in possession we looked like we could create something, unfortunately we didn't do it enough. Think people need to be realistic and understand we haven't played a game in months and have lost momentum. We definitely looked better with Freeman and Didzy on the pitch

Decent performance I thought

They had more chances than us and were more threatening for large parts of the game. You're always going to have a tough 90 minutes against a team fighting to stay in the division. There's no doubt in my mind that we'll perform much better the next time out

Did well. Doesn't offer a massive amount going forward (besides that throw!) but really solid at the back.

I agree they had more of the chances, but I thought we generally looked comfortable and if I was a Villa fan fighting for their lives, I would be disappointed with that performance, whereas, as I say, I thought we looked to be fairly comfortable, but I accept that Villa fans may say we didn't look like scoring either. I'm happy with a point to be honest VW, minus the gut wrenching decision that has cost us, and in that respect I'm fuming!

Did really well for his first game, standing in for a complete player, steady start but grew into the game.
Most disapointment was Berge again for me, didn't seem capable, I don't think he can cope with the pace of the English game yet, and that was a slow game.

All about opinions but two great saves from Hendo and a cross for their striker missed by inches, all in the space of 15 mins then were 3 0 down. All we produced in 90mins was a cross come shot from Norwood and a McBurnie header. Not great.

I thought that he was V good defensively
but i am suprised we did not move Edna there and play Osborn wing back as it offers more going forward
as we def lacked creativity going forward
But yes Robo played very well

Solid defensively, didn’t offer the same going forward but JOC’s had 3 years to perfect that ... solid addition think between him and Osborn we have decent cover for the left ... a lot of the creativity that wasn’t there tonight was the outlet that fleck offers

Good defensively, tbf I had little doubts about his ability there. Impressed me to be fair bar a few sloppy mistakes (no worse than the rest of them for that).

Going forward he’s lacking in comparison to JOC. I think it might be worth putting Stevens LCB and Osborn LWB, I think we’ll be more of an attacking threat.

Funny that everyone thinks he's lacking going forward ,in the games I'd seen.him play before we signed him he was always at left back and struck me as aggressive ,lovely left foot particularly crossing the ball and scored a cracker in one game I watched for QPR

Yes he had a good game but without blaming him I thought we were lacking when they had set pieces like corners. We did not win many headers at the back which is unusual for us.Their defender seamed to win all the headers from their corners and if any had been on target would have won it for them.I am sure the goal line tec would have been working then.

Maybe so; but he’s no JOC which is the issue.

He's played one game in which we were shit especially down.his side
I'm telling you he can go forward ,very well in fact and is possibly more suited to the role than o connel was at the outset
So for me its not an issue

Not sure about that but each to their own
