If you could go back to the summer of 2019 and tell us all that JLT would go on to play ~160 times for us, you'd have been regarded as a loon.

Signed as back up to JOC. Had JOC not got injured JLT would have ridden pine for a season or two and been sold. Fate, eh?

Solid servant for us. Gave his all.
I dont agree with our fans slagging him off (especially now he's leaving) but it is time to upgrade.

I always remember a family message to him in the Wembley dressing rooms. I can't remember who it was from but it alluded to him trying his very best whilst conceding that he wasnt a world beater. I don't believe hes upset the apple cart as much as people say either or Selles wouldn't have picked him.

Anyway, cheers for the efforts Robbo, and good luck at Watford.

had JOC not got injured he would have gone to a top half top six club within 12 months

Solid servant. Made a few mistakes but was also solid enough many times when we needed him. For a transfer fee of £500k he has been a really smart signing.

But 160 odd appearances for us later, its time for both parties to move on. Sometimes its just the right time to go different ways. I like him, but he needs a change of scenery and we need new characters and players to fly the Blades flag. He goes with my thanks. Cheers Robbo.

2022, QPR (a) under Heckingbottom is my favourite Robbo performance. We needed a win up against his old club and his relentless mentality came to the fore. Would not allow us to be denied. A player that divides opinion, I am one of his detractors in all honesty, but think he deserves a great reception upon his return.

Made FEW mistakes - but of an understatement, he’s gash and always has been.

Am I right in thinking he has never been sent off for us? If correct then it is a surprise it hasnt happened!
Yep. Worst disciplinary record he's had for us is 10 bookings in the Prem 2 years ago.

4 career red cards. 1 for Forest (2 bookings), 3 for Blackpool, all of which were in one season (2013/14 Championship season - once for second booking, 2 straight dismissals)

I like Jack. I like his old school attitude. I like him being willing to give shit to supporters. I love his commitment and passion.

I hate him as a footballer for us. I think he's been to the detriment of this club as a whole since we signed him as for some batshit reason two managers (in three spells) never saw fit to improve on him and it's left us with shitty weak foundations for far too long.

It's not really his fault, but Wilder and Hecky's. Well done Ruben.

We will not have had many better value for money signings than £500k on JLT.

Overall was I feel too mistake prone for where we wanted to be (essentially a yo-yo club). But he stepped in, was always fit and to be fair him has some decent games. Just an indictment for our recruitment overall that he was callled on as much as he was. More than fair championship defender though.

Hope that means Mee signs now for some veteran presence

A really handy Championship defender to have around and nowhere near as bad as some make out. I'd have been happy to have him as 3rd or 4th choice defender.

Ridiculous he played so many games for us though. He was brought in as back up and he only managed to get in the first team every season due to truly terrible recruitment.

After last Saturday against Millwall I hope never to see him in a blades shirt again. When we desperately needed leadership, he got into a running battle with the referee, got booked, annoyed the officials and got totally distracted from his job. He tried to turn it into a wrestling match with their forwards. A match he would never win. He looked like he had totally lost it. He is too ponderous on the ball and his infamous long throw has never got us any goals.

I wasn't his biggest fan as numerous posts indicate. He was a full back converted into a centre half. Unfortunately there were many times he played like a full back when picked as a CB. His biggest failing was his inability to keep switched on. Failing to see what was going on behind him. It cost us many goals. He did it again against the Wall last game when he had his back to the opposition when they were attacking, a common failure. He missed the runner down his side preferring to play at statues holding his hand up for off side.

As others have said for £500k with a rumoured £250k add on no one can say we didn't get our moneys worth out of him. I never bought into the pashun culture carrier argument put forward by CW. In reality he was an average championship standard player who tried his best when wearing the shirt.

I trust we are getting a fee for him. With his experience we should be looking towards a figure of around £1 million. If he goes he has to be replaced. If thats Mee, at the moment we are dragging our feet again getting him over the line, then that will be a good deal. Yet with RND going and JLT we are still short at CB should we suffer injuries. Whether Baptiste steps up remains to be seen but there is nagging feeling we have left ourselves short at CB again.

Based on no real evidence whatsoever, I bet he can be a right bastard with the rest of the team. The type of bloke (again with no personal knowledge him) who, if you're on good terms with him, will be a good person to have around, however, if you are not I reckon he could be a proper twat. Not sure Selles has the respect of the group overall to challenge Robbo, and you need to be a strong leader and character to bring him back on side.

It wouldn't surprise me if Selles can't get him out of that dressing room quick enough!

Brought in as back up, ended up captain, got us promoted, one of our best players in the PL, almost got us promoted again. Treated like shite by some fans for the majority of time he's been here, a major scapegoat.

Must be shit to not be appreciated at the club you've had most success with in your career, but he'll be reyt. GLTTL.

He’ll go with a GLTTL from me.

I don’t think he deserves a lot of the hate. He’s worked hard and put his body on the line for the club on numerous occasions and I’ve really enjoyed the occasional cruncher he’s stuck in.

It’s not his fault we didn’t ever adequately replaced JOC or Souttar. He’s fine as a backup in a top 6 team or starter in and around mid table. That’s just his level, which is not his fault.

Last of the Wilder brigade, religiously stuck with him when others were more suited, probably be one of those guys that get into their 50s and still want to take everyone on, can't condone the brum incident frustration or whatever. Old school player in a modern football world, thanks for your contribution Jack, hope we beat Watford when we meet again

I like Robinson, always gives it his all, has never disappeared.

Yes he might make mistakes, and he isn't the best footballer on planet, but as long as someone consistently gives 100% for the team it matters not how bad they are to me.

Knew when he was walking with Davies and RND after Millwall game that he really was going, glad he got some applause/appreciation after everything he did for us.

Ideally, we should have let him go sooner but at least he was still willing to play even when wanting to leave.

Good luck to him, but moving on from him is the best for the club as well as him.
