I thought a lot of the stick Robbo got from our fans at times was harsh.

He wasn’t that bad. He was usually a 7/10, fairly solid player for us. 3/4 times a season he had an absolute clusterfuck but the rest of the time he was consistently OK… as a squad player.

It shows how catastrophically wrong we’ve got our recruitment when a fella signed as a backup ends up as a regular for several years running after hundreds of millions in premier league cash.

I wish him all the best as someone who gave 100% to the shirt but the thought of us going back to Robbo would be a sign the club was just going backwards. I thought it was one of the biggest signs we might move forward and change culture when Selles let him go and looked to sign replacements. Re-signing him a year older after failing to convince the Birmingham fans he’s up to much would be the biggest wilder thing wilder has ever done.

Lose Souttar, sign Holding, spend £10m on Cannon and stick with Robbo…nice one.

I already think we're heading into a spell of mediocrity, as there's deep-rooted change required in the club that I have zero belief will happen.

But it's utterly insane to ever suggest that JLT is a worthwhile signing at this level. We should be content to just laugh our heads off that Brum were willing to take him in the first place.

His lack of comfort in possession of the ball, is of a level I'd expect to see from players 4, 5, maybe 6 divisions beneath the Championship. People speak about his grit, and ability to make a strong challenge, but that stuff is often only needed because he screwed up with the ball at his feet in the first place. And in the current world of football, where possession is king, and your defenders are expected to provide some amount of passing and/or dribbling technique, Robinson is an absolute no-no.

What makes it worse, is when he does make a mistake, he often will just scream and shout at someone, anyone else, just to try and direct attention away from him. I've seen him bellowing at linesmen after making a mistake, seemingly trying to claim a foul, when the reality is just that he's gash with the ball at his feet.

Our defence has plenty of room to develop and get better with the right signing(s), but he would be an absolute backward step. He's a less technically competent version of Tanganga, and we've already got McGuinness for that.

Still fresh in my mind, the rant that bastard had with us at plymouth, last season! I never want to see that cnt! In a blades shirt ever again!

I was about to share this. I doesn't suprise me that a very limited footballer with a bit of passion is backing a very limited footballer with a bit of passion.

If Robbo comes back that's a HUGE backwards step but I can see it happening.
Given the current mindset within the club, I can entirely believe it would happen.

Pashun innit, culture carriers innit…

Can’t believe the negativity about Wilders signings.

Obvious we should bring Basham out of retirement and pair him with Robo as well as sticking Billy up front for goals.

All Blades hired by a Blade, PL here we come.

I've just seen Ted Hemsley. He's free these days, ageing a bit but could still do a job as well as JLT, far less chance of his being a card magnet and I assume he knows Wilder so he'd be a shoe in.

Much of Robinsons time here he was a back up. And even then he would make terrible mistakes. Some he got away with some he didn't.

Then his head completely went and he's turned into a wanna be Vinnie Jones hard man act while being a clown with comedy mistakes in him and just not being very good.

But quite why people are treating a rumour or theory like it's actually happening I dunno.

I often see him at Sainsbury's in Dronfield. Looks well for an 82 year old!

Robinson is a complete donkey whose race is surely run at Championship level after continuing to drop bollocks at Birmingham.

A good game for him was one where there wasn't an error that led to a goal, which was more often than was acceptable.

He's one of a select few that we've let go and hasn't improved with a rival in the same league, compared to the likes of Egan, McBurnie, Brewster etc who have done alright since we let them go.

We did however go and sign Tanganga who has been little more than Hackney's equivalent of Jack Robinson but without the utterly stinking attitude.

It's a hard no and I'll suddenly be "Wilder Out" if we sign him back.

I said plenty of good things about him here. It's still a very hard no.
