Personally I don't think this is the player we need. We have enough players who fit the number 9 role. We need someone who can open up defences, beat a few players and put it in the top corner or to a number 9 on a string. Not sure where I have heard these words before....

We ought to look at nicking Luton’s striking scout - how many strikers have they brought through in the last 10 years?

Can't see Posh selling Marriot, since he's only just joined and we can't afford the fee that would no doubt be required - silly money. Similar with Maddison but if Brooks went then Maddison might be considered I guess, since we like to fish in League One. Posh have a history of getting top dollar for their assets though - unlike us!

They have a few failures too but they don't get mentioned. I take your point but with Posh being in League One it's an easier level to adjust than the Championship. There are decent players that we can get from Leagues One and Two but don't ask me for current names for forwards, other than Cole!
