Not when his contract dictated that the alternative was to get nothing for him. He came up from Arsenal and wanted to go back down south and was approaching the end of his contract, your opinion holds water if he did not want to leave and was tied to a longer contract, unfortunately that was not that case .

I don't know or care. I'm talking about the whole theory that some people have that selling for literally anything is something that you are forced to do. If you get rid for more than what the remainder of his registration? That's fine. But doing stuff like selling someone for a fraction of it because that is better than nothing is how poor teams stay poor. You know that you will need to find another player to replace them, right? And these players cost a thing called "money"?

He was a member of our development squad not a guy who would influence our chance of promotion. But no matter what, that thing called money has to be found to buy other players and pay overheads and that is why players are sold or would you rather us let everyone run down their contracts and finish up with no player assets like our friends up the road.
