J Wallace, Scougall, JC Ryce told they can leave.

Don't you know that everything on twitter is 100% confirmed?

Shame about all three, I think this will signal the end of J Wallace's career if we can't get him fit who can ? A real pity has he showed glimpses of being a great midfielder at this level. Scoogs .......... League One is no place for the little guy he should have no problems finding a club but he will never be allowed to show his talent in this rough house league. JCR shame he has to beat his full back 3 times and then cant cross for toffee.

Would be sad to see Scougall and Jcr leave, both have flair that others don't. I'd have given Scougall a chance ahead of Baxter, some say he's small but he handled himself well when he first joined.

wouldn't be surprised if they ended up at Burton, purely for the clough factor. Other than that can't see anyone above us wanting to take any of them.

I liked Scoogs when he first came myself but he just doesn't score or assist anywhere near enough, it's a shame but we can't keep carrying deadwood.

Agree with the majority on this thread about scougall

Think he played with a point to prove when he first got here and he seems to have lost the fire in his belly and there is too many reservations about him playing with only 1 other centre midfielder

I think we should try and get rid of Wallace if possible but don't think there will be many takers

Personally I would like Campbell-ryce to stay because he is a bit different to what we have got, and finding a winger that wants to get to the byline aren't easy to find but can see why he would be asked to find somewhere else x

We can all make cases for why we should hang on to player X,Y,Z, but the fact is they are fringe players that have been given numerous chances to impress and stamp their place in the side. The added fact that for whatever reason they haven't managed it and as we are still languishing in the depths of hell then summat has to give

Add to the above the excessive squad size, the 60% near wage limit, the opportunity perhaps for NA to add a couple of "his" signings and it really is a no brainer

I'm afraid it's time to be a little ruthless and the last chance this season to mould that squad into a promotion winning side

Let's hope tho that the players that do depart are not deemed our best players :(

Campbell-Ryce is the only one I'm bothered about - but only until the end of the season. We shouldn't be letting him go unless we get another winger in. The summer should be the time to let him go.

Wallace simply won't get fit and Scougall isn't good enough and I'm not sure about his desire either.

Scoogs will probably head back upto scotland on loan. Jcr again a loan. I cant see anyone taking JW unless its a pay as you play deal so i think he will have to be paid off.

Think we will stick to a narrow 4 man midfield and only use wingers from the bench

Would be sorry to see JCR go, he is a good option to have coming off the bench,

If the other two can find alternative employment I would lose no sleep over them going.

Not that surprised to see any of the those leave. I would have expected Flo to be on that list as well.

Although since its just a twitter rumour then it could also be that those 3 are going to be offered new contracts.

Scougall doesn't fit into how Adkins wants to play
JCR would be behind Coutts, Flynn and Cuvellier in my pecking order, no end product journeyman.
Wallace, feel sorry for this lad as he has all the tools apart from the body. Many would have given up by now and I am sure he an an insurance offer at some point.

We need to get players out of this club, and anybody who isn't in the 1st eleven is a sitting duck apart from probably Reed and Adams.

The man has no end product for all the tricks. We need to improve on exactly these types of squad players.

I feel sorry for Scougall but he'll do well back in Scotland if not at Burton or Pompey. Funny how things turn out, I always preferred Holt to Scougall and see he scored two more for Rangers this week. I wonder what would have happened if it had been Scougall on loan and not Holt. Would Holt have made it with us or still too small ?

I can't be arsed to look but I bet JCR has more goals and assists than the whole of our midfield put together, other than Baxter, so I wouldn't necessarily say he has no end product. If we get better in then fair enough but he does offer something.

I can be arsed to look :) and this is from our own website before I get shot down

Assists

Baxter 4 in 16 league games
McEverley (yes indeed) 3 in 14
Adams 3 in 15
Sharp 3 in 23
JCR 0 in 13 league games. 2 in the cup though

Scougall and JCR - Both too small with neither having the ability to compensate.
J. Wallace - Would never have been fit enough to be a regular in my opinion.

A good start if we can get them shifted.

I didn't just mean this season, mate. :)

But why does last season or all the seasons before matter? :)

Is he going to get better this season?
In short, no.

Like I say, if we get better in then I'm not too fussed at all, I like us to have as many different options as possible and he's certainly different to everything else we have.

I'll look tomorrow for the full stats just to prove my initial assertions right or wrong :)

Scougalls shown glimpses of his former self, but doesn't seem good enough and is probably a good example of those players who we could keep but need to be more ruthless about. The only thing I'd bare in mind is he's still very young.

Wallace is quality as we all know, and I'd love to think he could turn it around but that's probably wishful thinking.

Campbell Ryce frustrates me and isn't very good, happily see him go. Behind Coutts and Flynn among others, I'd even play Freeman on the right. We do need a new winger though.
