Wow, another link to get disappointed by when nothing happens.

Top player been linked with a few premiership clubs this seasons.

Any source? Or just another rumour?

Swap Chengdu Blades for him and Macanuff. Otherwise, no ambition, cheap as chips, same ol' United

good player, would be a useful addition. Don't want to get any hopes up till I see him in a red and white shirt though.

Apparently Sam Ellis is hopeful of two by end of Monday. Will there be any deals done today as otherwise Monday could be hell!

apparently a 2 million pound bid has been lodged! From a very reliable source of mine within the lane. To back this up further he didn't play yesterday either!

Also being spoken about on many other watford forums.
Didn't play for them yesterday.
There also on the verge of singing Don Cowie, plays the same position as JJ (Replacement possibly?)

I have always rated JJ, he's scored a couple of time against us in recent years, and had attracted the likes of Newcastle & Fulham in this transfer window. My respect for Blackwell will go back up if we sign JJ

I've always thought he was one of there better players :S he was injured not long back, that reason being why he missed the game against us

Panic Buying will happen tomorrow If this o'toole bloke aint good enough for Watford why is he good enough for us?

finally someone with a bit of pace being linked maybe blackwell does have a brain albeit no a very big one

John-Joe O'Toole signs

Sorry BB ;)

The Blades have boosted their squad for the Championship run-in by completing the signing of Watford midfielder John-Joe O'Toole on loan for the rest of the season.

Kevin Blackwell was foiled in his bid to bring in midfield reinforcements during the transfer window but has secured the services of the 20-year-old who has impressed against United in the last couple of seasons.

O'Toole is a current Republic of Ireland under 21 international, the Harrow-born midfielder who has started 15 games this campaign and come off the bench on 13 occasions. In total he has fired eight goals.

The Academy graduate made his first team debut at the beginning of last season in the Carling Cup and went on to scoop the coveted Young Player of the Year Award for 2007/08.

O'Toole will link-up with two former colleagues at The Lane, in the shape of Leigh Bromby and striker Darius Henderson.

There should be some people fairly satisfied at this news from reading back through this thread...

I'll be pleased if we play to his strengths and he does the business!

LOANS?! No AMBITION! :D

Seriously. Lets hope he has the same effect as Cotts did last season. Is he left sided or Right? Im hoping its Left so we can have O Toole & Cotts in the same team.

yep and drop quinn, he won't because KB always states quinny has had a good game, even when he has a stinker

This is quite a pleasing signing, not much of risk if we just have him on loan. 8 goals in 15 starts is better than sharps goalscoring record and much better than our current midefield, he has pace and got a reasonable cross on him as far as im aware.
It will be very interesting to see whether quinn or monty are dropped so that JJ can play.
