What's the fewest number of players with which you can get back to our first league season where a player played a league game which each player before and after him on the list. I reckon 12

My rule is that leaving the club and returning breaks the chain. If you don't have that rule we get it to 11,as Billy Sharp played with both Montgomery and Basham in his various spells.
