It's not Hammond's fault that Adkins keeps picking him. But all the same I can't think of any better way to get the message across that we don't want him in the team than too boo him? What else can we do?

Strange post. As much as I'm critical of Hammond individually and Adkins for playing him, it's a team effort. If Hammond and Adkins can't see what's lacking in his game/ from the team then booing an individual during the game won't achieve anything.

Boo at half time/ full time to show your displeasure of the team... If that's your thing
 
Raise it directly with Adkins at the match.

He never responds, but he'll hear it at least.

You don't want him in the team. Other people disagree.

Fwiw I've just watched the extended highlights on BP and he looks a lot better on that.

The pass through to Adams is really top class. Besides that a couple of blocks followed with decent passes. Covering runs and recovery runs. Closing options down. I think he might be best as a partner of a dynamic energetic midfielder who occasionally gets caught upfield - but we haven't got one, yet.

Maybe his best work really is all done off the ball. (On the highlights it's noticeable how many times he's standing in front of the player with the ball cutting off direct options and making them go sideways.)

Adkins suggests that the data will support this. I imagine he's right.

I trust Adkins' judgement and Hammond's experience - for now.

I don't see how booing the whole team would get the point across?

Count me out of that "wetting themselves" description.

I was the only one that accurately predicted how much of a mistake his signing would be.
 



On the basis of the op, I'm gonna have to take plenty of water with me to the next game because I don't want any of the current tossers in the team. Gonna be a lot of booing from me!!

I ask anyone to take a few seconds in their room and start booing, it will only then dawn on people how fucking stupid and childish this phenomenom sounds :)

Sorry, but I don't boo our own players.

If you don't agree with NA's selections then let NA know. What purpose does it serve having a go at Hammond because NA picked him?

OK so if you want to play Hammond then you can't really play Coutts, both are holding mid-fielders (like Doyle was) and we should only play one to support the D and link with the mid-fields + 2 wide and 1 creative playmaker in the middle?
 
I thought I'd give booing a go seeing as it's all the rage these days. I've heard it and seen it at the match but still wasn't convinced it was for me.

I tried it in two different outfits, fair weather and cold/inclement weither because I couldn't predict when I was going to go 'live'.

I got in front of the mirror and just fucking went for it, mimicking almost perfectly what I see from some of our supporters.

Not only did I look a cunt but I sounded one too. I felt childish and pathetic. I didn't feel like I could make any positive difference at all if I were to do it at a match. I'm still a bit embarrassed now.

If you haven't tried it yet, I wouldn't bother. It's wank.

Never understood booing.

Verbally ranting is entirely different, and actually a lot more satisfying.
 
When Adkins spunks our transfer budget on Hammond in January I wonder how many of you will be wishing you had boo'd and let Phipps know he wasn't welcome.
