One of the things that lots of fans seem to forget during a transfer window (or after a defeat)... You can't often buy one player and be transformed.

You can't necessarily buy three players and be transformed.

You can rarely become a good team over a short period of time. E.g. Villa.

You rarely become a bad team over a short period of time. E.g. Blades.

It's a complex team game, requiring many elements, from passion/commitment, to tactics, to skill.

We don't have "world class players", but we have a class TEAM (and top class management team). They might have been slightly off form sometimes since lockdown, but it's disrespectful and pretty concerning (i.e. maybe see a doctor about your short term memory loss) that some fans think we're now rubbish.

While I'm reminding you of this... Maybe fans need to also consider that negativity spreads, and players do hear things... Which can damage their confidence and morale, maybe even commitment. They absolutely don't deserve criticism from the fans - Wilder and Knill are their bosses.

We should all be so proud - it should only be sad Wednesday fans logging onto this forum that provide strong negativity.
Blades fans might have constructive suggestions or criticism.... But the outright negative/insulting comments some of you are making... Pretty much means you're not real suppporters, by definition.

At the same time, for us to be a decent PL team we need at least 9 of our players to be getting 7/10 or above every week, that's their individual responsibility.

We've had too many 5-6/10 performances by too many players recently and we don't have the collective or individual quality for this to be the case.

A lot of players lose the Hunger , once the novalty has worn off , if they are well paid and have no obvious affilliation to the club , CW/AK/BS have been good at making us a team i am sure we will come good , with out , taking gambles with our future .

TBH I don't quite get this "we are rubbish" bollox.
We played a very good wolves side, who for the first 6 mins or so gave us a valuable lesson, don't ever start a game slowly, after which we at least held our own, they were the better side but not by much.
Cup game was a non event and imho meant nothing but a run out.
Villa, well lets be honest, even the refs union has admitted its was a mistake to send off Egan, but still we could and should have gone in front, I for one don't blame lunny, that save was fantastic, the penalty was headed just inside the post and the keeper gets hands to it at full stretch, at least 7 out of 10 that still goes in, but alas it didn't , a mixup between JoC and Edna results in Edna on the floor and JoC unable to get up in the air to challenge, keeper who some blamed had very little chance.
Less than a week later we take on Leeds, who have scored 7 in 2 games including 3 vs current champions, we not only restricted them to a few decent chances but, again IMHO we had more and better chances, their keeper pulled off at least one that is already a contender for save of the season.
The cross and header for their goal was a little lucky but well executed.
So no we aren't wank now, we are not getting the rub so far, and let's be honest next 4 or 5 are about as tough as it will get, if we get 6 points I'll be happy.
But we need a little faith and a spoon of luck other teams seem to get vs us.
