.....for Sam Ellis's optician.

Forget the several top saves our keeper made first half
Forget that their keeper can put his shirt back in the packet and sell it in the club shop.

"we deserved and should have won the game".

Can I have a pair of those specs please? We are fucking rubbish, my only solace would have been an apology followed by a statement of where we're going wrong. But we're not going wrong, it seems.

Fuck me sideways.

Maybe he thought that seagull was the ball. Both we were white and airborn for the entire game.

Yep, after threatening to pass to our own players for the last 2 home games, the big hoof has returned with nterest. Truly awful, wasn't it?

Fomcl when I heard him in the car on the way home, what game did he watch?
I was more interested that Blackwell didn't make an appearance to roll out the usual excuses.

We were, in my opinion, second best today by a fair margin, Felt a bit sorry for Seip today as he wasn't the worse in red and white. but surely its drilled into defenders "if in doubt put it out"

Were are heading in one direction and it isn't up, I find myself thinking will I bother going on Tuesday rather than what time will I be there.

Totally agree. There was only one football side out there and it wore blue and white.

My sentiments exactly alcoblade.

I have no respect for a manager who can't come out and face the music after a disappointment. Sending Sam Ellis out to spout his crap is gutless IMO.

Bunn was MOM for me. He kept us in it with several good stops from several one on ones and a free kick. Unfortunately for him, they got in on his goal once too many times and scored.

Nosworthy is laughable. Stewart is beyond laughable - is his foot a different shape to everyone elses? Morgan cannot hold it all together on his own. Seip made a catastrophic error today. QPR sliced us open several times with ease and with a bit more ambition to go for us around the hour mark - they eased back for a point - could have won the game.

Monty was Monty - usual self. Quinn - did he contribute anything positive too us? Best thing was when he got the ball in the face first half. Harper did his usual Inspector Clouseau (spelling?) impression and Yeates threatened but didn't deliver often enough. To be fair to Yeates he provided our best two moments of the game first half. Hard to criticise Cresswell, Camara or Henderson who had little or no service and must find it difficult to make the runs knowing that Monty or Quinny is going to be feeding the ball towards (or away from) them.

Conducted an experiment first half (its that poor): we played 20 hopeful long balls from our defensive areas (final third) over the half way over head height. On 8 occasions, we either won the header/challenge or the ball fell to us in the opposition half. On 12 occasions, we lost possession. From the eight occasions we retained the ball, we never created an opening. The result was simply a corner on two occasions and a free kick. All three of these came to nothing. In the same 45 minutes, we played what I would term good football twice. Both times, it involved Yeates on the left. Once he pulled back to Camara (should have done better) and the other he crossed for Cresswell to score - kudos to Cressy, it was a good finish.

Didn't conduct same experiment second half. Results were clear. Football = chances = goals. Long hopeful punts = possession lost 60% of time, 40% chance of ball falling to Blades (half of these would be Quinn, Monty, Harper and Stewart which is effectively giving it away anyway) and on todays evidence this leads to very little.

The goal didn't interest me - I clapped it out of courtesy.

The QPR goal didn't bother me - I knew it was coming.

The point I don't care about - we won't go down and we won't go up.

I'm not entertained and I don't care. How many others feel the same? The demos won't happen because nobody cares enough right now - the apathy has well and truly set in.

Welcome to Bramall Lane, the home of Mediocrity.

It sucks.

I've always viewed "I could do what he does" type posts with healthy scepticism. I've done so on the basis that, to get to play in the second tier of English football, the player has gone from being best player in his street, to best player at school, to best player in district team, to prfessional trial, to best player in youth academy, to best player in reserves ad finally, to first team duty. During all these stages and processes, the player has had the benefit of thousands and thousands of man hours dedicated to his fitness, physique, psychological welfare and honing of inherent skills.

So it is with heavy heart that I must now renounce my lifelong conviction and announce that I could have done today what Jordan Stewart does.

Man of the match for me today was Glen Little & he was on for the last 6 or 7 minutes. Seasons over.

yeah you could see Glen had a point to prove when he came on.

I doubt Blackwell will of noticed his performance.

It would help if we actually knew what he does. :D

Completely agree. I couldn't give a damn when we scored and I think that showed around the whole ground with the reaction it got.

I'm far from entertained at the moment, it well and truly sucks watching The Blades at the minute. I no longer look forward to going to games and lately they just seem to be nothing more than a waste of 90 minutes of my life.

Raul, does your head look like this? If not you've got no chance mate. :)

This has been used before on here but I like it so much here it is again;

Stephen Hawking with a flat battery would be more use than Jordan Stewart.

But he's still better than Andy Taylor:eek:

As I mentioned in a post the other day and to Les at the game today - do the fat goalie and footballing dinosaur actually believe the crap they spout? If they do, then there is little chance they are going to try improve it.

Ta'ra please and shut the door on yer way out.

We were awful. Lucky not to be 3-0 down at half time, though it was an excellent header by Cresswell. Cresswell, Morgan and Bunn were fine - the rest were all over the place at times.

I know Yeates set up the goal, but virtually every other contribution he made was wasteful beyond belief. His usefulness to wastefulness based on the last two games I've seen is worse than Cotterill's, who Blackwell was desperate to be rid of.

Not a good day for Camara - repeatedly offside, wasted one great chance first half, and otherwise didn't look as sharp in general. Had we had another fit striker he'd have probably been subbed today.

Probably one of the funniest substitutions in ages when Harper went off - he didn't seem to believe it. For someone that was in both the starting lineup and subs list as per the scoreboard before kickoff, it's surprising that he was so non-existent when the match started. I'd rather have Quinn in the middle at the moment over him, and that's saying something.

Glen Little. He's been on the bench in virtually all the games the last few months - why the hell haven't we seen more of him? The one player on the pitch today that didn't seem to have been driven down by the lack of confidence that's rife in the team at the minute.

The season's petering out into nothing. We're not going to get much joy on the road in our remaining games, and so it was crucial we got 3 points today in my opinion. Season over, another mass player turnover in the summer - good times ahead....

Maybe he thought that seagull was the ball. Both we were white and airborn for the entire game.

Thought it was a white pigeon? At times I did think that the pigeon was the ball too. It wouldnt leave the ground and kept flying across the pitch

I'm not sure what it was but it was ore interesting than than the match. Even the chlamydia advert at half time was better than the match.

Glen Little, David Cotterill, Kyel Reid, Lee Hendrie, Nathan Dyer are just a few that spring to mind, but I'm sure there are plenty more. Only fatty has the answer why.

Shall we live adventurously and get Season tickets for The Hibees next season ?

Can't think of a reason to put "no".

What's the swinging like up there?

Ot do you fancy going halves on a lear jet,or if we do the swinging thing a LEER jet

Not very inspiring stuff today again.

Just a few questions for the general public:

Why start the game with Quinn and Yeates on the wrong wings? Why watch it not working for 25 minutes before changing it. Why then start the 2nd half with them back to the wrong wings. Can anyone confirm ever seeing Quinn put a decent cross in with his right foot? Why play Harper and Montgomery together in midfield at home when this pairing is far worse creatively than Leigertwood and Monty ever was? In fact why play Harper ever again? Why play Jordon Stewart when the guy can't pass, tackle, head, cross or even take a throw in that goes to our own player? Why persist with Nosworthy at RB and not bring in a proper RB on loan given he's a liability and we have no cover? Why slag off the team last Saturday and then play everyone again on Tuesday apart from new signing Yeates - is it really him that pissed you off so much Blackwell? Why hasn't blackwell got the balls to come out and do an interview/has he been told to take a rest after last weeks efforts? Why is Ellis so impressed with us? Why do the club think we deserved to win that game any more than QPR? Why are they seemingly happy with the performance and result? Why bring Little in today but not give him a sniff for the last 6 months when he clearly has more to offer than a lot of the performances we've had to watch? Why play Lowton on the bench after he played this morning? Given the last question why not fill the 7th place on the bench with another youngster? Why the hell did Henderson not stick out a foot/toe/penis for the late chance?

Why was monty one of our best players out there again today and the best midfielder by some way?

Why don't the board realise that games like today and every worse every week are killing the atmosphere/hope and support they have worked so hard to create over the years?

That is all.
