Can't grumble at that.

Yes it's another game without a win, but that performance was top draw. We've played a good side, and deserved to win comfortably. We aren't getting the rub of the green at the minute, that much is obvious, but anyone who was disappointed with that performance was watching a different game to me. (Not the result, the performance). Yes the result was clearly not what we wanted, but if we can maintain that level of effort, intensity & quality on the ball then we'll win far more games than we'll lose this season.

Without the red card we'd have gone on to win that game, no doubt in my mind. If one of the 3-4 strikes that hit the woodwork go in, we'd have gone on to win. But these are the fine margins of playing in probably the most competitive league in the world.

The only criticism I have is their 1st goal, another from long range. After 2-3 had gone in in recent weeks I thought we we're being very unlucky, after 5-6 have gone in it's more of a concern. In league 1 you could get away with giving players a bit of space 25 yards out, it's now very apparent you can't in the championship. If you give quality players time & space at this level, they will hurt you more often than not.

That aside I was more than happy with today's performance, we keep that up & we'll soon be back to winning ways.

Reminded me a little of the time we lost to Norwich under Warnock in our promotion season. Came out thinking we had turned the corner despite the loss. The next couple are really tough especially without Fleck but if we put in that level of performance for the majority of the season we will definitely be in the mix. The play offs are wide open. You keep expecting the like of Villa and Derby to go on the sort of run that will see them pull away but we are every bit as good as the likes of Bristol City, Ipswich and Leeds

These rangey goals are pretty run of the mill nowadays.
I wrote the first 2 or 3 off as wonder strikes but it is now obligatory against us.
We can keep calling em Worldies and the like and doff the old cap or realise that in this league
if we don’t close them out effectively at this range, players will keep hitting the back of our fucking net.

Great performance, looked so much better for having Baldock back in the side to give us a natural shape, I thought Lundstram was excellent and without the sending off we'd have gone on to win, we were very much in the ascendancy before that happened.
Being positive - we've totally outplayed the team currently in 3rd.

teams have sussed out he flaw in the back 5 system in that there is sometimes a gap appears on the corner of the box between the outside cb and the wing back.. they are all having pot shots from there ( pkus neither iof our keepets seem capable of saving long range efforts) i haven’t seen the replay but their lad didn’t hit it well
