It’s a praise to the Blades

My nephew is 10. He hasn't a clue what the club is or isn't doing and to be honest I don't think he cares, although I haven't asked him. He's got his first full season ticket next season (had a half this season just gone) and he can't wait for the season to start.

Think alot of our fans are saving £50 on the home kit this season, hehe.
Brooks sale is just typical United... Even I'm use to it now.

The boy is nine, he has never been to the Lane, and only seen games on iFollow. Brooks (and his no 36 shirt) was the only player he recognised and he was looking forward to seeing him more this next season. Now I told him that he left, he’s not bothered any more.

Call it fickle, but this is the next generation of Blades, and if we’re not doing everything to keep them interested then we’re going to lose them.
Yep, who needs £15,000,000 sales when there's a £4.99 a month subscription at stake? :)

TD & Son will still be Blades, like a lot today you find other priorities or better value for your money

I am certain there are more Blades that dont go to the Lane regularly, than actually turn up

Up to the Club to figure out how to retain and attract others back
We've doubled or even trebled our average attendances during McCabe's tenure. He's surely doing just fine on that footing, whatever you feel about him overall.

I was so devastated when we sold Tony Agana that I stopped supporting the Blades, for about 15 minutes. I was 9 at the time.

Twenty-seven years later, here I am posting sh!te on this forum, proving that the kids get over it quickly enough

Big well done and thank you to The Blades for saving me a lot of money his summer. With Brooks leaving and the home strip debacle, I’m going to be saving a fortune not paying for iFollow or a shirt for my lad, as he has now lost interest.

Bellend - grow up... also grow a pair of bollocks and raise your son the right way. You will be one of these cockwombles that let their offspring support pigs.

Good riddance to you

Your couple of quid won’t be missed.
But please - don’t come back glory seeking (iFollow or otherwise) should promotion happen to the Premiership.
You are, in the grand scheme of things, very insignificant as far as the club and it’s fans are concerned.

Real supporters don’t drop a club because they’ve sold a player (in this case for a decent price given he wasn’t ever present for one reason or another last season). We have had key players sold out from under the manager in years gone by for a pittance. This time, we sold a player for a decent sum that the manager approved of.

Real supporters don’t drop a club because they’ve come out with a shirt you don’t like.
You’re not forced to buy it.
It’s what happens on the pitch that counts for most fans. As long as it is red and white and can be identified as a United shirt who cares?

There is always a place over in south Barnsley if you want to pop on over. They waste big money on wages and haven’t sold any players yet, oh and not forgetting you can get a “laser cut, athletic fit with evapor8 technology” shirt for £99.
May be more to your taste.

When I started supporting the blades, we were about to become a 4th division side, but I had already got the blades bug. It seems to be different for kids now with so many other distractions for them and what I call the "immediate culture". Kids now have to have everything now, new phone, game, a car when they get older - no one seems to have to wait or save for anything now. Hopefully your lad will get back into the blades as he gets older TarquinDelouche , perhaps if his dad keeps at him?

Again... cunto... that's a 9 year old boy you're talking about. Try to remember what it was like being that age. Now, take a thousand-mile step back from that where there is no mention of the Blades in the media, no other kids in school to discuss them with. If you can't do that, then you have no place giving it the BiggerBladeCockblock in this thread. Congratulations on proving yourself a bigger fan than my son. I'll be sure to tell him - I'm sure he'll react as if I'd just explain Nernst's Theorem.

Read Brooks tweet he chose to leave he wanted Premier league football, Wilder cannot keep someone who wants to leave. I bet that’s why Brooks chose to play for Wales just to become an international player as soon as possible.

Would you - not ?

Look at Coutts one attempt at goal out for half the season, could have been the end of his career.

As it is everyone will be complaining if he is not back to his best 4 weeks in ..

I don't want to win the lottery I'm happy here in my council house on the the Manor ?

GLTTL I look forward to seeing him take over from Bale in years to come.

Strange how people criticise the lack of ambition from the board McCabe for 'letting' him go showing a lack of ambition and then criticise the player for having too much ambition.

The human condition hath no bounds.

Lift of your blinkers and see the light.

It's a team thing.

UTB.

Is there any need to call other posters “cunt” and “cunto”? You’re a grown man for Christ’s sake. It’s embarassing stuff.

I was going to join in but it's such a multi faceted thread occupied by the higher echelons of Bladey Big Bollocks that I daren't. Just GLTTL.

Exactly, imagine being a 9 year old Chesterfield fan with back to back relegations.

Perspective.

Imagine me at Stamford Bridge on the final day of the season, when relegation was an impossibility.

Deluded by the thought that a shed must have a roof when the heavens opened and I ended up wetter than a drowned rat.
Then relegated 'slipping' out of the stadium ground, Stamford Bridge was a dump then, Dave Basset parked his car behind the goal.

Funny old game - football.
