I am hoping,fingers crossed,for at least 1 quality signing,preferably a striker,before the transfer deadline.
I will be watching with bated breath until 11pm

It's gone quiet.
On here too let alone at the lane.
Guessing we'll get that Matt done and a striker in on loan in a few weeks.
Extremely let down if that is how today ends up though, guess I set my expectations too high

Last night I was expecting to sign the highest scoring striker in the country.

he's going to a championship club on higher wages....although not confirmed yet. Not exactly the club's fault. . Who else should we sign as personally I have no idea who would be ideal for us (except COG)

Personally i had my reservations about Eoin Doyle, he didn't really cut it at Hibs and in his first season at Chesterfield, and i think this season he has been a bit of a one season wonder, we shall see though

Mate I feel let down by the day itself, not the club.
I'm not blaming united for losing out on COG (who I think was nailed on until Brighton changed their mind) or Doyle (who I think was ours until a championship side came in).
That's my point, who else is there?
I'm not overly keen on either Davies, Maynard COULD do a job, done sounds good but doesn't play the role I want us to strengthen.
Just because I'm fed up n in panic mode doesn't mean I'm pissed off at the club

But that would have done, even if we only had him firing this season- he'd get another 10-15 goals for us. How much is promotion worth? More than 500-750k? Not saying we'd be guaranteed promotion but snapping up the highest goal scorer in our league would have certainly helped.

Moan moan moan because we haven't got Doyle. We look like signing a winger turn striker that's scored 14goals this season and that's deemed not good enough.

Have people forgot that we signed Coutts who had a great debut along with Freeman who gives you total confidence should Harris get injured. Then we've got another midfielder in from Hearts who by all accounts it quite good.

All of that without mentioning Brayford.

But no. People forget all that and "wait with bated breath" and feel "deadline day is a let down"

As I type.. Done is a done deal.

For me this is a great window
