but how many teams in the championship would hamer arblaster and bogle get in, probably every team apart from the 3 you've mentioned maybe they would but fucking hell if QPR can lose at home to wednesday then demolish Leeds we've got nowt to worry abart
Agree with you.

But right now it’s hard to look positive. Ignore abilities of our players look at today for example.

We don’t have a right footed centre back…

We only have 4 defenders we can only play a back 4….

A centre midfielder will have to play left back…..

It’s hard to look positive. You make a joke about Wednesday but Wednesday at least have players to play.

It really does need a huge reset but this should be the time the club is at its peak. Promoted last season. We sold our 2 best players and yet we don’t even have a side to put out.

it honestly wasnt even a dig at wednesday it was more of a the championship is so inconsistent point, QPR losing to a team in the relegation zone then beating a team going for the autos a few weeks later.

I think the quality of players in the championship has got lower over the years,a lot of the quality now is provided by PL loanees, whereas you used to get a lot of quality players actually owned by Championship teams in the past .
Just taking a name at random,Peter Ndlovu,if his time with us and Birmingham was compared to present day Championship players, would he be regarded as one of the standout players in the league at present?
And there were plenty more examples from back when with us and other Championship clubs who would walk into today's teams if time made it possible.

Norwich and WBA just showed how ordinary,,,,(crap),a team can be and still get in the play offs.

Will be so difficult to predict where we will finish next season. Either way it’s not going to be as easy as many are thinking just look at Blackburn and Sunderland this season compared to last. Still have Leeds,Burnley and West Brom along with parachute payments with potential additions from Luton there are still a host of others that will be up there. We have to get off to a good start and see where it takes us

A rebuild takes time and can take 3-4 seasons of patience with some unpopular sales. I have no problem with sales so long as the money is reinvested into the first team. We've seen many a player sold with inferior cheap replacements coming in. James Beattie out for £2.5mil, Jamie Ward coming in for £330k as a replacement and the remaining £2.17mil vanishing being a prime example.

If we use Arblaster as ground zero for example, then we are up one player for the rebuild. Let's say he gets sold in January for £15mil, we're now back to zero. However, if we then spent the £15mil on 2-3 players then we're now sat on 2 or 3 players for the rebuild. We'd be a stronger team for selling him.

Yes it would suck that Arblaster would be gone, but we'd now be 2-3 players better off in building a new team. That's football, and I could live with that.

Our main problem will be expectation management with a lot of our fans demanding promotion next season. Why, I don't know. We weren't ready for the Premier League this season and we'll likely be a worse and weaker team this coming season. As for thinking the Prince will learn from this and change his approach I highly doubt it one bit.

We need patience and acceptance that we may be a mid-table team for a few seasons, occassions flirting around the play off spots, while we take TIME to rebuild from ground zero.

What I can't abide by is rebuilding a new team around the likes of McBurnie, Egan or Anel. They're in the past and the past has left us in a mess. Live in the now and look to the future and let the past lie. Hecky giving Norwood, Fleck and Basham new deals was a joke, as all three struggled last season, then you had Hecky trying to resign Sharp. As much as a legend as he is, Sharp has been a failure in the Premier League throughout his career and sentiment gets you absolutely nowhere in football. We're not ruthless enough as a club and live in the past too much. Football is a cut throat business. If you were great for us in the Championship but proven to be no good in the Premier League, then sadly it's bye bye time. See you later and good luck. It's why two teams dumped Norwood when they got promoted. He did well for half a season for us and has never looked the same again since. We should've gotten rid and replaced him after we were relegated last time.
I’ve not met anyone “demanding” automatic promotion next season…Not one.

Still the Michael Carrick media ‘love in’. Even though he has not even made the playoffs in 2 seasons at Boro. Bizarre
Surely he did make the playoffs when we went up (despite being so much better than us and utterly nailed on to pip us to 2nd place with the whole nation roaring on Plucky Michael... then not even finishing in 3rd)
