Is our support growing ?

Are there any other Blades in Wakey and further afield in West Yorkshire, and how come you support the Blades ?
Good on yer though
There's a fair few on here to be honest but certainly of the ones I know personally most are Sheffielders who have moved away. I'm just a glory supporter.

It doesn't matter does it? A couple of extra thousand isn't going to bridge the gap between our income and clubs with parachute payments or rich and stupid owners. Keep the spare capacity for our support, which will continue to grow as we get more successful. It's not going to happen overnight. We just need to keep doing kid for a quid deals and cheap tickets for low demand games to hook another generation.

Over and above the gates, though the increases are welcome, what financial benefit will we see from our season in the Championship ? :)

I don't pay much attention to such, but do we do many "quid a kid" promotions these days?

I think the crowds are fine... but perhaps we could do a bit more to boost the gates by "exploiting" the membership to offer different prices to home fans vs away. Away Blade membership for those outside S postcodes for instance to make the trip worthwhile?

Our home tickets are a little expensive and I don't think it's doing much to entice people who wouldn't normally go. We're doing extremely well but the home crowds have barely increased. On Saturday it's £30 a ticket on the South Stand to see Ipswich, which is pretty steep to be honest.

You wont find much cheaper anywhere else
The kop is more affordable

Our home crowds are up almost 20%. Mini season ticket sales and some big games in 2018 should increase it further.

If you compare that over the whole of last season, that statement is simply untrue. Yes, when compared to the last few games of last season, we are on a par but the rise in attendances towards the end of last season was a reflection of the success on the pitch. If the same thing happens this season, there's no reason to think the same thing will happen and crowds will grow towards 30k, maybe even the odd sell-out.

United have just come up after 6 seasons in the 3rd division and are currently 7th in the divisions average yet people are suggesting our support has not grown enough. If you really think about it, maybe it's because, as a result of the clubs ticket pricing over the last few years, we didn't actually lose that many over the dark and dismal days of division 3. As many predicted we would!
